1st City Cafe

Great atmosphere and Friendly staff. Food is Superb. Large amount of food. My husband and I share the Lumberjack: 2 pancakes 2 pieces of bacon or sausage 2 eggs 1 huge biscuit and home fries.

I had very high expectations because of the reviews. My fiance and I seated very quickly (they were not busy). We sat down and waited for drink order. Nothing from wait staff. More people came in got seated and service quick. We were there for 15 minutes no order yet, but another couple gets seated next to us the waiter come within 1 minute. We left did want to eat at a place where wait staff, do not say anything to you.

Our party tried the salmon, beef enchiladas, chicken quesadillas, shrimp and grits and a chopped salad. All the food was beautifully presented and was absolutely wonderful. Cappucinos and tea were lovely as well. Our waitress was attentive and we would return with pleasure.

I’ve really enjoyed this place! They have great food and waitstaff. The patio area is also a very nice place to sit when the weather cooperates.

So at first my husband & I were confused on where this place was because we were visiting but OMG it was delicious! We actually got breakfast & lunch & boy it impressed us! The service was wonderful & the atmosphere was pleasant! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Had breakfast here. I don’t know what they did different but the omelet was the best I’ve ever had. Even more impressive was the service and attention to detail. You sit looking out over the pool and it’s beautiful. When we commented to the server that everything looked beautiful she said, “We’re told ‘If you have time to lean you have time to clean.’ We take pride in how this place looks.” You could tell! And that same attention to detail carried through to her service. Highly recommend this place! Unique, fun look too.

Our waitress was outstanding! Food was very good and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I would recommend the Egg's Benedict or the Crab Cake Benedict for something with a little kick!

One of my favorite lunch and dinner spots in town! The Republic Burger is perfectly made. The salads are delicious. The steak....don't get me started: AMAZING. The atmosphere matches the rest of the hotel with a modern 50s/60s aesthetic. Also they have a killer brunch. If you're staying at the hotel, it's a must.

Great way to break the Corona Fast. Sunday lunch by the pool with Sunday Supper and Shrimp and Grits. Amazing! The combination of collard greens, chorizo and smoked Gouda was off the chain. The service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly hygiene focused. Get out of the house, practice social distancing and enjoy a great meal!
