Rays Drive In

A quick, out of town trip for me and the wife led us to Lufkin in search of a good burger. Ray's did not disappoint! Man, we both really loved our burgers and sides. Seriously, it was all super tasty, hot & fresh. When we make it back to Lufkin, you will find us popping in again.

Really good burger. Fries ok. Chocolate malt delicious. Almost a 5 but fries were just ok. Also got a BLT which is on thin white bread. It was small but for $3.79 I can't complain.

It was busy, but not a terrible wait. Burger was a burger nothing special. Weird they charge for drink refills, but it's only 25¢.

Update
I decided to try it again, as the food is good. The water, however, 7 months later is still the worst water I've had a restaurant in recent memory, but the food is still good. I'll be back, but I've learned not to trust the water.

We got another double bacon cheeseburger and a hotdog, with tots and onion rings. The food was all good; well recommended.

Bacon cheeseburger and chicken strips were very good. The water was not. I suggest a filter for water. I would not stop there again for my break particularly because of the water. I would gladly eat the food again, but if I'm thirsty, I'll stop somewhere else, on my trips through. I recommend a water filter; it'll make a huge difference.

One of the best burgers we’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend this spot. Restaurant was clean. Service was fast.

Lived here for 9 years and never ate here before. I ordered dered the Ray's Special burger, hands down the best burger I have eaten in this town. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. Very busy place at lunchtime. Great food and service.

They have some of the best steak fingers!

I have a lot to say about Ray's.
Old-school, nostalgic, delicious. Fresh to order.
I love the fact that Ray's stands on integrity and product and not marketing.
A true retro drive-in!
I truly get a kick out of the fact that there is a Sonic across the street and they just can't compare to Ray's old-fashioned heartiness and taste.

My first experience here was awesome! They had a sonic drive in style car hop thing. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was super juicy and good. I also got some onion rings and a small chocolate shake on the side. The server was so nice and friendly! I will definitely be coming back : ) .

One of the better burger joints. Fun atmosphere. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Texas Toothpicks were on point!
