Sitting at table for 4. There was 3 of us and purses were put in the empty chair. There were 5 tables with customers including us. We were separated social distancing. Waitress came and picked up empty plates. We paid the waitress and proceeded to walk out. We walked out and realized one of us left purse behind. Went back inside and no one not the waitress or anyone knows anything or saw any purse in the chair left behind. I don't know who wiped up the table afterwards and did not see the purse. Really?? It just disappeared as soon as our backs were turned and just stepped out the door. So overall for ok place to eat breakfast this experience left a bad taste in our mouths. There is definitely some shady business going on there. We now had to cancel cards cancel phone notify everyone fraud alert. So if you go to this place just bring cash in your pocket or keep all your belongings close. There are bad people in this world.

Breakfast is amazing here if you like an at home style breakfast . Here is my Food for thought, everyone should try the #11 breakfast sandwhich it is amazing. It comes like a turkey club minus the turkey, with lots of bacon, tomato, lettuce, ham and a sunnyside up egg perfectly cut into 4 triangle pieces. Give me a like and follow my posts for more amazing food and places.

We had breakfast there and all four of our group loved our food. It was a simple home style breakfast. The food was not cooked with too much grease. They had homemade biscuits and good Grits.

Had the buffet. Not much selection. Mashed potatoes and green beans were fresh. However the chicken fried steak was frozen and had a cornmeal crust. Meat inside was dried out. The Lasagna had a layer of grease on it. Salad bar was disappointing as well. Only one waitress, but she was fairly good and attentive. No soda fountain, only canned soda.

They were out of everything. And the wait staff didn't know their products and what they had. Over priced for what you get. The menu says you get a salad bar and choice of potatoes with the entree. Not only did they not have a salad bar, they were out of salad all together. And your choice of potatoes was french fries.

Serviceable breakfast. Avoid the coffee. Don't know what that is, but it's not coffee. Cost 30 dollars for two breakfasts which is way too much for a country diner at this level. I suspect we were overcharged but when we challenged the waitress we were treated to a lot of doubletalk and it wasn't worth the discussion. Doubt I will be going back anytime soon.

So you're passing through central Texas and you'd like to get a slice of small-town life? A "taste," so to speak... Well, here it is. Best wear jeans or khakis, wear a trucker's hat and take your time.
This is what it was like getting a meal back in the fifties. And it's pretty darn wonderful, this old coot affirms! The grits are... ok, well, they're grits, if you're from the south that's all you should need to know. Load 'em up with salt, pepper and butter and dig in. The Texas toast is homemade and perfect. The burgers taste like they used to and everything for breakfast - and, now that I think about it, everything else too - is pretty darn good.
Smile and say hello when you come in and the service will be great and friendly. I'm not saying it won't be good if you aren't friendly, but you get back what you put into it, you know. The place is plenty clean enough for all but the most OCD types, and the prices are so low they'll melt your face.
Recommended. Welcome to Texas!

Found this little gem while driving through Texas. Was very pleased with the service, price, and food. No big city restaurant, just a handful of ladies serving up good home cookn. Felt like small town Texas, and exactly where I like to eat while traveling!
