The Antlers Inn

What a great place we stayed in the yellow caboose. Beautiful hardwood floors and walls full kitchen with all the extras just like a vacation condo. Sleeps 4 to 5 person if you utilize the small couch. We even tucked a portable crib in the corner. I slept in the lower bunk bed but am only 5 ft tall. Really meant for kids with sleeping.bags. The grounds are lovely and was great for an eevening stroll by the lakes. Going to eat at the restaurant here on the grounds. It is were they filmed the Texas chainsaw massacre movie then off to Slab road too take a dip in the Colorado River

Brett at the front desk was an absolute pleasure and very friendly! His hospitality was the icing on the cake to staying at this gorgeous peaceful piece of history. I hope this place never changes! We will definitely be back!

Rooms have really cold AC which is a big plus here in central Texas. Staff was friendly and rooms big and comfy. The grounds are kept nice and neat and offer nice amenities. There is an on-site coffee shop and a pier with kayaks available.

Great pizza and wings and yes the the French fries are yummy 😋

We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly.

We truly loved the room. We stayed in the Writers Room and the selection of books was great. I only wish we had more time to hangout on the porches. They did a great job renovating the place back to 1910

We stayed in a suite at the inn and it was great! Love the decor and quiet environment. Keri was extremely helpful, very friendly and made sure our accommodations and visit were perfect. We will definitely return.

The only negative experience we had was at the cafe. Service was poor. Our salads arrived before our appetizers and then we waited a long time for them to finally arrive, which was right before our meal. The waitress blamed the delay on the bar being busy. The food tasted good, but we felt the proportions were small for the prices and the service that was provided.

Really like the unique stays they have here. We stayed in the Yellow Caboose which is super cozy with all the amenities you need for a stay and more. Us the whole property was great to wonder around, it was beautiful. Every place here has history and loved reading about it.

This place is spectacular! The cabin I was in if you can even call it a cabin, had stain concrete floors beautiful finishes and fixtures and a kitchenette. The staff was friendly and the price was very affordable. I highly recommend this hotel. For perspective I travel constantly for work I'm a Platinum Elite lifetime Marriott member, so I stay in a lot of hotels.
