My first time here and I was very impressed 💯 I was surprised when we ordered breakfast and the total was so cheap when the food and espresso were so good! We ended up purchasing a couple of boxes of tea, couple jars of jelly & some unique hard lotion. Im excited to try it all. This place exudes small town pride. I highly recommend this place to anyone who goes to Jefferson.

A quaint old-timey place. Lots of old fashioned candy, fudge, chocolates . Novelty gift items and much more! Worth the drive! You should not miss this. Breakfast was very good. The 1/2 French toast, bacon, 1/2 hashbrowns and specialty coffee was only $8. For lunch, try the lunch special. 2 cheeseburgers, chips, canned drink, and peach cobbler for $8.12. Not kidding.

Quaint, friendly little town with a ton of downtown treasures! This is one of them. I found a birthday gift for my dad, several fun farmhouse/antique items I wanted to buy for myself, the best smelling almond cream coffee I've ever bought, and some delicious bluebell. If you've got a sweet tooth, they'll take care of you for sure. Go see these folks because you won't be disappointed. I was sad to get there after they closed down the deli portion for lunch... it all looked amazing!

We travel to Texas every few years.
This has become one of our traditional stops.
Love this place...Love the step back to a simpler place in time feel. Im a bit old fashioned I guess. Love the old soda counter.
Favorite is the Root Beer float
We always buy some sort of tie dyed shirt of sorts.
Old candies as well as jellies and salsa
Will be back again

Great truffles. Full candy counter. Lots of hand and jellies and hot sauces. Friendly people everywhere. Locals eat there. Atmosphere is awesome. Great place! We went back 3 times for coffee, lunch, candy and souvenirs.

Was looking for a coffee shop this morning in Jefferson. This was really the only place that came up. there was a suggestion that a certain person make the coffee but I'm not so sure that that would have made a difference.
The coffee is not served in a hot carafe and is instead poured inside of a thermos where you pump it out yourself. The coffee in my opinion was very weak and it seems like there was only one choice of it. However I am giving it an overall three stars because of the ambiance which is like an old general store, as well as the eggs and the biscuits were good.
Having said that I do find it odd that a city like Jefferson that relies heavily on tourism does not have a decent coffee shop.
Edit: Updated Review
I went to Port Jefferson Outpost about a month ago for some coffee. Was nice and strong, and the staff, just like last time, very friendly. Adding more coffee beans to the grind did the trick! Thanks!
