This is one of the best cafes I've ever been in Houston. Attention to detail in the decor truly make you feel in a modern yet comfy place to drink your cup of coffee. The pastries area must, fresh and in the correct portion. The main sitting area is made of long tables, which favors conversations, if you are into meeting people!

Cozy, small, ambiance is superb! Art from locals, great coffee and had my daily sinful bar. Couldn’t make it any better, staff was AMAZING

Staff is amazing and they are that coffee shop that makes pretty designs on top of the coffee. Not a large menu and coffee is good, not great but the atmosphere makes it worth it. Sundays are cars and coffee. That's the day we love to go.

Good coffee and vibe. Great place to catch up or have a short date. Chill people

I love this place! I come here often since it’s right next to my apartment. The coffee is great and they don’t overcharge you. The workers are super nice too!!! Fave coffee shop in Houston

HOT COFFEE... ICY SERVICE! This is my third visit to Catalina - I try to visit whenever I'm in town. This was the most disappointing by far! Whilst the coffee was exceptional as always I found the barista lacked any enthusiasm, didn't really engage in conversation, avoided eye contact and lacked any degree of warmth to the customer. Surely if you work in a customer facing role, these should be the basics taught in barista 101. Despite this the coffee and pastry were excellent!

Very good cup of coffee. Great little place on Washington. Nice atmosphere and crowd. 2 vanilla lattes $9.

Fantastic little coffee shop that creates a wonderful spot for a great social experience.
I was told Catalina has some of the best coffee in Houston (I personally thought it was par with most coffee shops) but the big seller was the environment.
It's fun. Louder than some, but full of life in a way to allow time for great conversation.
I went in and tried their cappuccino and thought it was good. It had a great aroma with a decently well done foam design and the coffee was nice. Not overly strong or mild.
One downside. There are barely any outlets so it's not the best place to hunker down and get a bunch of work done, but that may be their creative choice.
This is a great place to just hang out with friends, get a good cup of coffee, brainstorm ideas on an iPad or yellow page, and leave feeling content.
Would definitely visit again.

Waited for the girl at the front to stop attending customers to ask for some honey. Even after waiting patiently waiting she gave me her back(keep in mind the place was not busy, just me and the couple she was attending). She could’ve said “I will be with you shortly”, instead I waited some more and finally a guy came from the back. I asked him for some honey and she quickly turned around and poured honey into my drink (she seemed annoyed too). She didn’t ask me how much, she poured too much and my drink tasted too sweet. I decided to leave, I didn’t like my drink and didn’t feel welcomed there. The chairs are also very hard and uncomfortable.

Top-notch roasters and an incredible space. One of the best espresso shot blends I’ve had in Houston.
EDIT: the Gold Cup with Guatemalan is the best coffee I’ve had in TX.
