Catalina Coffee

My personal favorite cup of drip coffee in Houston. Atmosphere is cool, and everyone that works there is super friendly.

No WIFI…. No oven for pastries.

Thankfully, LUCE is right across the street.

Catalina coffee is my bar for great coffee, and unfortunately I still haven't found a place in Houston or otherwise that delivers like they do. Boomtown in the heights is close second, but aside from those two I have yet to find coffee even in the same league as these shops.

Wifey and I came here for some coffee and were pleasantly surprised at how great everything tasted. I had the cappuccino and wifey had the Cafe con Leche, both were delicious!! The lemon poppy muffin was the icing on the cake. Would recommend to friend and family.

I got the lavendar coffee and it was really good. The place is small but it doesn't feel crowded or anything and I love that they have little tables outside.

Best lavender latte I’ve ever had, and everyone is super friendly! As for the inside, it’s very nice and calming— I’m sure it’d be a great place to study :)

What can you say about Catalina? Best-trained baristas in Houston (IMO), wonderful freshly roasted Amaya coffee with selections from Latin America to Ethiopia, and perfect espresso macchiatos presented the only way those should be done. If you're into espresso and pour-overs more than blended coffee drinks, this is your place. And the friendly baristas are always up for sharing coffee know-how.

Friendly service running a quick and competent operation. The line moves QUICK here! Awesome location, beautiful atmosphere, and the coffee is delicious. It’s worth traveling here from anywhere in town for a cup of Catalina!!!

Coffee was good, but the atmosphere was meh. The seating is definitely not the most comfortable, and outside seating is along Washington making it very loud. It isn't a shop I would hang out at to get work done, but it is a good cup of coffee.
