Could have been a 5 but the Food delivery was poorly timed. Cold sushi cam out after the hot entrees were served. It was a crowded Saturday night after a fireworks display in the Arts district. The waitress was good, but the Sushi bar was so far behind the kitchen that the timing was off. Despite that all the dishes were good. Yes it’s expensive and yes the music is loud, bit that is the experience here and we had a nice time.

Really amazing sushi. The room is a bit dark but really nice ambiance!! Downtown sushi restaurant so make sure your pocket is deep!

Be prepared to pay for location and vibes.
If you're in the area because of a concert or show, this place is just fine for a post-event dinner. However, this is not a place I'd drive out of my way to eat at. I've been here several times on different days of the week and my experience is pretty much the same each time. The only thing I'd order if I was actually hungry is the Yakisoba with crab and beef. The oysters were just fine, the rolls were just fine, the cocktails were overpriced but also just fine. There's nothing really innovative on the menu, and I'm not impressed by gold leaf on a dish. The service is also slow and waiters won't check on you often. It can get really noisy in here too, and wait times can get long in the evening. Make a reservation if you plan to eat here after 8 pm on a weekend.

Dear Foodie readers, when going to a show, or traveling there for business, this Japanese restaurant is conveniently located right across the theater district. I was there for work, and was staying around the corner. We walked over, and were seated at the bar....it is a comfortable area, pretty spacious...and it gets pretty lively as the evening progresses. We ordered quite a bit to share... I started with the house salad, it was a good portion...we wanted to try the seabass, unfortunately they were out. We got the Brussel sprouts, dim sum, and a few rolls....they were all tasty, nothing extraordinary, but good...service was good, atmosphere was as well....it is a little pricey, but good for dinner and theater combo date night...or after business meeting hang out.

I've been to a lot of Sushi and Asian Fusion type restaurants all over the country and this one is certainly at the top! Besides the fish being super fresh, the preparations were unique, clean and were an explosions of tastes! From appetizers to sashimi to a Lobster dish that was other worldly and desserts that were perfectly balanced, everything was spot on! The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and service was excellent! This is worth the drive from wherever you are but certainly a must if you are near downtown or uptown!

Had a great time kicking off restaurant week here! The ambiance and service were excellent. I didn't think I would, but I definitely recommend the short rib. The Musume Old fashioned is worth a try, and the Lavender cocktail is also. If you come ask for Jessica, she is great, and I definitely plan on coming back for sushi!

This place was amazing! I mean everything was flawless from the service to the food to the drinks. Such a vibe!
The only possible negative I can think of is it’s a kind of pricey BUT for the atmosphere, quality of food, and location it’s well worth it. Everything we tried was delicious and well presented! I wish I could remember our waiters name, he was so great too!
Speakeasy was definitely worth checking out, I would recommend getting a table if you can beforehand. The dj was great too!

Mediocre quality at a high cost. You can do better in terms of food, service and atmosphere at similar places nearby. The only saving grace for me were the awesome bartenders and great drinks.

5 and more stars!
Service, ambience, food, etc….are simply awesome!
Servers have always great suggestion… including a wonderful old-fashioned with Japanese whiskey. A must!

Massively overpriced. The food is tasty and fresh but it’s nothing particularly special. The flavors are not unique and I’ve had much better meals at restaurants that cost much less. Even at half the price I wouldn’t go back.
