Musume

The service was very slow. It took a really long time to get the fried rice. The beef was hard and chewy. Not really a good dish. As for the rolls if you buy the cheap ones at around 8 dollars it is actually worse than grocery sushi. I spent more than a hundred so I was expecting something good but I was really disappointed.

Nice atmosphere, great food. We love Japanese food and had the sashimi chef selection and spicy tuna and tempura shrimp sushi rolls. Everything was good and the toro premium bluefin tuna sashimi was amazing. The tempura ice cream for dessert was perfect!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DINNER TO ME!!! Yeeaahhhh…. I picked the right spot, at the right time. Had a couple of my closest friends join me for a little sip & chill.
Liz, our server, was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu! I’m so pleased she was our server, even when I needed a booth instead of the tables. My plan was to fill the table with lots and lots of plates.
First up, Green Apple Negroni. If you like jolly ranchers, go for it. But I needed something more for the table. So Sake it is. Liz knows her business, ya dig. I think it was called, Dragon God. Something God. Good is what it was overall. Her recommendations and explanations, will have you trying EVERYTHING!!
The apps, on point. Like period! Spicy edamame, mushroom potstickers (might be a different menu name)- just ask Liz, she knows. Ummm.. the crab cake, I heard was winning too. So much food -just peep the pictures.
The chef made me a vegetarian specialty for my rolls, beautifully made. The flowers were edible!!!! The SuperFly (🤔I think that’s the name) vegan rolls were great, those sesame seeds-like peanut butter. That’s a good thing.
I can go on & on. But the dessert, my goodness. So much joy was on and at the table. I even got fireworks 💥 on top of mine. That’s 🔥 and I felt like A Birthday Queen. The service was superb. The aesthetic and decor was a nice touch. Too bad on Sunday, my plan is to go back on a Saturday and join the fun around 8 p.m. (remember the code to get in) it’s next level access 🫣 Check FB.
Parking smooth - no valet on Sunday and if you park in the garage don’t leave it there to carpool to another spot because it will close. Car stuck over night. $20 for lost ticket even though you never will get one and you must wait until it opens. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Stick to the street.
I can’t wait to go back especially since I’m the one and only ‘daughter’ to my Mother!!!! I’ll bring her when she’s in town from 615.

Note to self: Musume is on the top 5 list in Dallas.

We spent our first anniversary here and it was the perfect choice! The ambiance and food were incredible and the service was outstanding, we really enjoyed the experience. 10/10 recommend!

Came here for an office holiday dinner party, it was amazing.

Better be adventurous though, they have great and very inventive fusion (octopus pickled in wasabi cream and jellyfish in a sweet chili oil sauce as banchan-like accompaniments? Yes, thank you)

Fish quality was awful! Tuna tasted so bad!! Rice pf the Nigiris and roles was raw and tasteless. Scallops were overcooked and chewy and other ingredients of scallop plate were bitter! The host and the server were nice. I do NOT recommend MUSUME for a high quality sushi.

Amazing flavors in a pleasant setting. Service is prompt and friendly. You cannot go wrong experimenting on any dish...and we tried many. Lunch or dinner. Ample seating. Parking on street. Outdoor dinning available. Highly recommended.

Musume truly is an experience to behold. I have been to many fine restaurants across the globe, but the service at Musume & Akai went above and beyond all expectations. Our server Terrell was lovely. The amazing bartender in the Speakeasy really set the tone and was perfect! Overall an amazing night out. Just goes to show that when management is on point, it is worth it all! Oh yeah, by the way, our meal and cocktails were phenomenal.

Came in for a birthday dinner and right away seated at a booth, only came with my partner. Everything was clean and organized. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, gave great recommendations on food and drinks. The only downside for me was the sushi, it tasted good but was just not worth the $39 tag on it, the “ 24 carat” title is pretty much their selling point, barely comes with any gold flakes but the smoked soy sauce was absolutely amazing.

I usually hate salads, but man this salad is amazing. The Hawaiian Goat Cheese with salmon is the best salad I've ever had. The goat cheese is fried on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. Even the bread itself is delicious. Ask for my salmon to be seared.
