One of the few places to eat between Colorado and Northwest Texas. Mom and Pop hole-in-the-wall vibes. Above average hand mashed burger patties. My burger was a little more cooked (medium well) than I like. I had the Green Chile burger. Not particularly strong flavor, given the southwest location. I would have liked a bit more seasoning mixed with the patty. Green Chile flavor was almost not present. The burger fell apart a little too easily and I found myself eating the second half with a knife and fork. It seemed a little dirty inside. Not a strong AC, kind of hot on a summers day. Service nice and friendly, if a little slow. One girl ran the grill while the lady who seemed to be the owner posted tickets and took verbal confirmation of orders from the hostess, but didn't seem to be to concerned about moving the kitchen along. Overall it was alright, but if I go through here again I'm just as likely to try any other place else in the small town.

If you’re passing through Dalhart and look at restaurant websites, you’ll find The Grill, with its elaborate and wonderful-sounding seafood dinner menu. When you arrive, you’ll find a pretty ordinary local burger shop serving a pretty mundane salad, sandwiches, including one made with a frozen fish square, and onion rings that seem to have come from a frozen package. Service is very friendly, and it’s okay if you’re looking for a quick sandwich. Why the online info. that is nothing like the real place? Staff say it’s never been like that, they don’t know how it got on the website, and whoever controls the website won’t take it down—sounds a bit implausible, but that’s their story.

First the food was the best. Sitting at the bar to watch the lady cook on the gril is awesome. She is fast and very centered on how she cooks the meal. I thought I was being cooked for from a chef on the food network. Thanks ladies.

We all 4 ordered hamburgers. Meat looked to be hand patted with fresh hamburger meat. The buns were slightly fried on the grille like they were "way back when" . The owner's daughter waited on us and took great care of us. Loved it!

Our family has been stopping here for years on our way to the mountains. The burgers are fabulous, they will grill your onions and cook your onion rings extra crispy. If you don't like McD's or DQ then stop here. You will not be disappointed. If cheap fast food is what you prefer go else where.
The place is small, but extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Nice little diner with classic diner grub. Great place for grab and go. The ladies there were working their tails off at lunch time. Remember to tip well!

What a great place! Am counting carbs so I ordered a double chili cheeseburger with no bread, waitress made sure that I was charged the least amount possible. Burgers are "hand" patted onto the grill and cooked to perfection. In town on business but I can guarantee that I will be back here every time I am in Dalhart. Highly recommend this establishment!!!

I'm from Ohio and traveling to Arizona, we stopped just by chance of me pulling into the first place me and my family saw. I must say I have never had a burger the good before and crunchy tots that weren't burnt and I nice and clean environment. If your in the area make sure you stop!!!

Small place with very good breakfast served. Nice people. Worth the drive into town from the highway. We'll stop again next time we're through Dalhart.

We stopped in The Grill on our cross country trip after reading the reviews. . . did not disappoint. My husband ordered the chicken strip basket with onion rings & I got the same but with fries, both were delicious. 4 large pieces hand breaded also included a salad & toast with the dinner, all for $6.99.
We try to patronize small businesses instead of your typical fast food and we would definitely come back if ever in Dalhart.
We saw the burgers going by to otherother t & they looked delicious too!
Wait staff very friendly & checked on us a couple times to make sure everything was okay. Give The Grill a try, you'll be glad you did.
