we used to be regular customers till they raised the price of each single item in their menu. last time we were there was two weeks ago. Here it my opinion/review:
STAFF: this is a family owned and runned Café, mother, daughter and son are friendly, nice and welcoming, the father is NOT smiley, at times very grumpy and NOT welcoming. they employ Latinos ladies that are generally nice and welcoming but they might not get all you ask.
FOOD: food options are limited, but the food has a good taste, consistently good, and its freshly made before your very eyes (they have an exposed kitchen). we love their Pancakes and eggs.
Coffee can be very bad at times.
PLACE: it has a familiar place kind of vibe, minimally furnished, vintage looking, at times not the cleanest, at times overwhelmingly overcrowded. mostly old folks (they might fart and burp at your surprise).
PRICES: before COVID their prices had been pretty steady, and we have witnessed a steep rise in prices right after they reopened.
ie: the fruit salad used to be $2,50 and now its $5
I live bluberry and chocolate pancakes... but now if you want chocolate good or bluberries they charge you $0.75 per pancake.
it's a looong list.
we still go there and we still like their food, but we are not regular anymore.

Great Mom and Pop breakfast spot. The "new" owners (5 years or so new) have made welcome improvements. Don't miss biscuits on the weekends!

I have grown up in Bellaire and have been here a few times. The food quality is not the best. You would think also that the prices would be cheap for how low the quality of food is but, this place is just as expensive as ihop or denny's. I have tried the omelette with bell peppers and ham and the bell peppers were not cooked all the way and still somewhat raw. The coffee tastes like hospital coffee. My girlfriend's scrambled eggs weren't cooked all the way and had to be recooked. Overall the prices do not match the quality of food. As much as I want to help businesses in my home city of Bellaire I won't be returning. They really need to improve the breakfast blandness and quality.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast this morning and had a great classic breakfast of pancakes, eggs, ham and a side of grits. Coffee was endless and the service was excellent. It’s a classic style diner packed with good energy and happy people enjoying their grub.

Great food and service paired to individual requests. Excellent for breakfast and/or lunch. Owner Manny, oversees all. Best Greek Salad in Houston! We drive from Upper Kirby to eat there.

Cute little breakfast shop tucked away in an unassuming shopping center. Quick and friendly service. I went with the breakfast plate with Sunny side eggs, potatoes, pancakes and bacon. I like my potatoes a but crispier but everything else was quite good. Price wise, Bellaire Coffee Shop is hard to beat.

The owner was very rude, and humiliated my 85 year old mother. He kicked us out because we weren’t spending enough money in that moment. He also told us to never come back. Through out the years my mother has invited over 30+ family members and friends to this place and a lot of them are regular customers.
I feel like we were discriminated.
It was an awful experience.
