Palomino Coffee

Obsessed with the record player & ambiance- was planning on staying for 2 hours but couldn’t get myself to leave! +cardamom mocha took me back to Denmark for a hot second- love!

Had seen this place on social media a few times and finally decided to pop in. Turns out it’s close by and the vibe was great. Really cool interior design with interesting lifestyle products to shop while you’re waiting for your coffee which was also delicious. The barista Jeremie was super cool too. Will definitely be going back again and again.

A nice little shop with a fantastic iced white mocha!

There's limited inside seating and an outside patio. There's scattered plug availability, but you might need an extension cord/splitter depending on how many people are around. Wifi held up even when all seats inside were taken, no complaints there.

The only downside was that there is a roasting machine that takes up a third of the seating space and it emits a very strong high-pitched hum that can't be fully blocked without noise-cancelling headphones. This is a fine place to hang out but not great for taking meetings.

Good coffee shop on the east side. Very friendly staff, good coffee, and nice space. I think they played this place up more than one might think when you check them out on social media.
Don't get me wrong it's a cute spot but it's not what it's played up to be.

Very cute coffee shop but today was the second time that the staff forgot about my order. The young lady at the register didn’t say hi or greet me and she looked very disinterested in being there. She took my order and I paid and tipped. I stepped aside to wait for my order but I was never called. I kept waiting. The young girl at the register saw me waiting but walked right past me, got on her bicycle and rode off. I eventually had to approach someone else to ask about my order. I was eventually handed a drink and food, but it was not what I had ordered🤦🏻‍♀️. I gave up and just left. I’m very patient and understanding but it is not a good feeling to be ignored and forgotten twice now.

Palomino's interior decor differentiates from the typical WeWork-esque atmosphere of other coffee shops in Austin. It has a unique Southwestern aura with comfortable well-designed seating and tables. Its coffee is excellent. It also has plenty of curated snack options to complement your beverage.

The only issue is that the coffee shop's atmosphere is comparable to a dog park. Since Palomino is a dog friendly shop, careless dog owners flood in and let their dogs bark all over. If you're trying to enjoy a book, complete a little work, or listen to their music, a dog is bound to interrupt you.

Pretty cool spot with comfy areas to work, study, or just read. Highly recommend

I was excited to visit one of the most Instagramed coffee shops, but social media pictures makes the area bigger/more interesting than it actually is. The service was subpar at best. The barista/cashier was VERY RUDE when asked simple question like "what syrups do you have" and made a snarky comment about taking us taking a picture of the restaurant. Not a great experience

For the best iced cappuccino in town. Great quality of coffee as well as they use Mill-King milk. Friendly staff and chill vibe Feng shui.
