Eh, it was just okay. Stopped here on our way to San Antonio because we usually look for little hole in the wall kind of places to eat, especially when traveling. My husband had small chicken fried steak and said it was pretty good, but didn't rave about it. It was a good sized cfs for a small. Fries are frozen seasoned fries. I had BLT and bacon was cooked nice and crispy but it had miracle whip instead of real mayo. And I know that it is a personal preference, but most places use real mayo. Our girls shared a chicken strip dinner and said the chicken and the gravy were bland and that the chicken had a funny taste. There is no kids menu or kids portions. Our waitress could have been more friendly. The other waitress seemed to enjoy her job more than ours. Not a bad place to eat, but we will not be going out of our way to eat here again.

Pulled in for a quick meal on my way out of town and the service was great the food was hot and very tasty and Even though they were very busy the waitress had time to smile and have a quick conversation

Tried to finally have a meal here with their very limited hours. Unfortunately breakfast service has just ended and lunch wasn't available for another 20 min. But the place itself reeked of cigarette smoke, it was hot and musty and dirty so maybe it was a dodged bullet

The hard choices were between the chicken fried steak and chicken and dumplings. Home made pies too. Skipped the pies and went for the steak. OH MY goodness. Well worth the drive on a sun filled cool day in Texas, through hills and pastures of new hay bales neatly placed in the fields. What a day in paradise.

My old favorite burger place (in Giddings) closed. Hadn't been to Kotts for over 20 yrs...OMG the burgers! They're huge, fresh meat (really fresh), & good fresh veggies. You gotta be hungry. Family owned & run. April is the best wait person ever. Breakfast & lunch only.

Lovely little family restaurant.
Everything was home made and tasted excellent. From home made tartar sauce to coconut cream pie. We will be back soon and bring friends.

I can always depend on Kott's Cafe for a good home cooked meal. Ever since I was a kid, my family and I would go to Kott's for breakfast on a Saturday morning (while in town for the weekend visiting our family's farm). It was always a treat to get to go with my dad. This place is an institution in Anderson and worth every penny in food and service.

I tried to like it..... but it is under par country cooking.
it's dusty and the salt and pepper shakers are sticky.
I won't be back for sure.
Beautiful location, great people....bad food

Stopped by for lunch, and I was very impressed. The food was great and our waitress was very polite and professional.
