Old Gringo Coffee and Cocktails Bar and Grill

First time in Alpine. We stopped in for lunch (we were a party of 7). I feel like the time we waited was normal as we ordered a lot of food & cocktails. Our waitress was a sweetheart, but I didn’t catch her name. She had pretty nails and told us about her kids. We were all shocked at the fact that she had a teenager because she looked about 18 herself. Any how, the food was delicious. I had split the beef nachos with my partner, ate a grilled cheese, had a simple side salad with guacamole on the side. The thing that blew me away was the cocktail that tasted like liquid pecan pie. I think it was called Texas Honey. I don’t do cocktails, but I could sip that every night. We didn’t come on the day they had a live band so the place was quiet and relaxing. I will be back for that pecan whiskey cocktail!

My favorite bar in Alpine. Good food, good veggie options for vegetarians and reasonable drinks. A band most nights and dancing on the floor. This place welcomes all, has fun merch, and is always a good place to bring a motorcycle. They have a motorcycle garage to park in and a hotel attached.

Great food and great atmosphere! Try the enchiladas or sliders! For that “holy cow I would have never expected that!” experience Try the Sheriff Dodson! You’ve never had a bologna sandwich like this before!

Stopped in for a drink and something to munch on. Drinks were fantastic and nachos were amazing. Will definitely be stopping by there next time I'm in the area!

Very cool motorcycle friendly restaurant (they have complimentary indoor motorcycle parking), friendly staff and good drinks. The only thing i ate here was the nachos but they were pretty good! They have a lot of other things on the menu that I'd like to try if I get the chance

Hard to get service...especially in the bar. We ate dinner...delicious gourmet hamburgers. Then went to the bar, could get anyone to serve us so we left.

Terrible server.The worst service I've experienced in a loooong time.
We sat at a six-top so we could have a little more room. Everything she served us including hot plates, were put at the end of the table for us to reach for and then pass to our husbands at the opposite end. There's more, but I'll save that in case I get a response. The food was great.

Best taco's I've ever had. Cool place too.

Loved this place! The food was good, not great, by c'mon, where else have you had good bar food? McNowhere, thanks. The atmosphere was fun and the drinks were great! Overall a great time, and I'd totally stop by again if I found myself in this particular corner of the middle of nowhere :)

Three of us ordered a crown and coke double shot..we all realized it was just straight coke. The service was horrible and it wasn't even busy. Ordered the heritage burger/w a salad and never got the dressing...took 20 minutes to get that because apparently the server/bartender wasn't allowed to go in the kitchen and get it.. the cook apparently told her it will come out when they can get to it?.. FYI.. the whole restaurant had MAYBE 10 people in it including us three..minus the few band members playing. Worst $100 we have ever spent!
