This coffee shop is best for solitary working. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches are good, and they have an entire floor of two-seater tables with outlet access. Atmosphere is typically pretty quiet.

This is a coffee shop for people who like coffee shops. The coffee was very good and the atmosphere was excellent. It's nice when there is fast service and chill vibe in a place. Portland Brew East doesn't try to be anything. It just is.

This review might be skewed by being here at 11 am on a Wednesday.
Coffee was good, latte art was on point.
Baked goods were mediocre at best.
Interior is generic industrial coffee shop.
Here's where the Wednesday morning bit comes in- vibe was... You know the Simon Pegg movie The World's End? The one where all the people have been replaced by androids? We'll, it's like that, but these are the hipster androids who have been issued MacBooks.
Seems like a nice quiet place to work with the perfect amount of white noise, if you don't mind that everyone else is a robot.

Great coffee and food at nice prices. Only wish they had more places for outdoor seating so I could enjoy them more often.

The best coffee I've had in my life, I bought here.

I've been traveling the US, drinking a lot of coffee, and I come from Australia with a high quality coffee culture. US coffee has been almost uniformly dreadful. But this place... fabulous.

We went to #portlandbreweastnashville while waiting to get into #grazeeastnashville. Ordered a chai freeze made with oatmilk. We sat down had a sip and wow, waaay too sweet. The barista overheard us and made our drinks over. And double WOW...a taste of heaven! So GREAT customer service and delicious drinks...we will be regulars! Highly recommended!

For a "northwestern coffee shop", it's weird they don't showcase the roasters. No signs, labels, stickers.
The cold brew I had didn't taste like Stumptown - it lacked depth and was pretty watery/diluted.

Great coffee, nice staff, and we love the loft seating with outlets at every table

In my opinion of all the coffee shops in Nashville, Portland Brew has the best straight up black coffee. They can be a little slow but a good cup of coffee takes time. Best coffee in Nashville.

This is my favorite coffee shop in nashville. I've always gotten great service and conversation from the staff. They are very efficient, even when there is a long line it never takes too long to get my drink.
