Ramblin' Joe's Coffee by ugly mug

The cooffee and the employees are great; however, whoever is running the place is not good. There are items on the menu that aren't actually available, the app is a mess and doesn't work half the time, the customizations on the app are different from web ordering which is different from in-store and basic items are often out. It's a shame because again the coffee is good, the food is good and the employees are very good, but the people running the place just don't seem to be good at running the place.

Good small place for coffee. They have some cool collection of coffee mugs.

Drive through was great. Have heard they have plenty of yummy rotating menu items. Liked the ugly mug mocha frappe, yummy. Service was quick and efficient, great service

Absolutely amazing café con leche. The service was a little slow but they were also very busy.

The three stars are for very sweet, kind employees working here. However, I ordered a flat white, which was just about 100% milk. I ordered it with oat milk that had a very odd aftertaste. Not good.

Just started going to this place. Day one I got sea salt hot coffee day two I got caramel frappuccino and both were delicious with very friendly service. Needless to say I've been back probably two or three more times in the past week and half of my punch card is filling up! (You get a free coffee every 10 visits!) And #uglymug is EVERY bit as good as Starbucks but cheaper ...And local! #eat901

Ordered a cappuccino that was basically an ounce of undrinkable sludge with no foam. There are too many awesome coffee places in Memphis to bother going here ever again. 1/10 would not recommend unless everything else is closed and you’re super desperate

We drove through the drive thru when happening upon a coffee shop called Ugly Mug (I had to stop). The coffee was better than expected. The wait in the drive thru was long (15-20 minutes) on a rainy Sunday mid-day. But the wait was worth it. We got the light roast (Saving Grace) and the dark roast. My husband got some sugar in the dark roast to cut the bitterness, which he regretted since it didn't need it. We even got a bag to go to take home. The names of the coffees were funny and entertained us. I wish I could have purchased an "ugly" mug.

Caramel latte was yummy. Staff super friendly. Also got breakfast sandwiches which were good. Ordered black coffee as well.
Tasted a bit burnt.

So far the best customer service I’ve received in my hunt for great coffee in Memphis. Today I had a Dulce Con Leche coffee. The barista was kind enough to tell me how they make it, the half and half is a rich treat, will probably take an extra shot the next time, and get a cold brew or iced coffee too.

They were out of the ugly delicious roll, but she gave me other options which I appreciated. Ended up with a cheese danish, something about the actual pastry wasn’t my favorite, but the cheese part was perfect. I’m gonna hold back one star for the pastry, and will give them another try.

But if you want to feel good after purchasing from somewhere...this is it. I’m going back for their customer service!!
