Nice place! I was served by a very trendily dressed barista, who was kind in recommending some things to get up to in Knoxville. The coffee was definitely coffee!

Friendly staff that's always willing to accommodate. Amazing coffee and espresso quality from the bean to the baristas

All great coffee shops do not only have great coffee, but they must also have a great vibe. Java has great coffee, and an amazing vibe. The squeaky wood floors and local art work on the walls make the space feel special. The tables and chairs in the alley outside are fantastic for the cool weather in the spring and fall. This has become my favorite place to go to read, work, or chat.

I was in Knoxville for a couple of days for work and stopped here a few times - the coffee is delicious and the aesthetic is just the right balance of gritty, elegant and comfortable. The spot is divided into two halves as of it was originally two shops made into one so there is plenty of seating for reading, work or chit-chat. It's located on a the corner of an alley with fantastic graffiti art and bistro tables for outdoor seating.

Cozy coffee shop in old Town. Coffe is really nice, and the pastries make the trip complete.
Also, price is very nice too.

Very nice folks. They were so nice and made a fresh pot for my wife, myself and a few others wanting coffee. GREAT pot of coffee.

Old City coffee was quite an lovely experience. There drip coffee was quite good and served in a real mug. The artwork was a great addition. The drip was a tad expensive ($3) but it was well worth it for the location and atmosphere. I will come agin next time I'm in town.

Amazing coffee at moderate prices, made up for by the friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Espresso, cappuccino, latte, drinks available with some pastries, this is a nice spot to catch up on work emails. Plenty of outlets available and indoor and outdoor seating allows for 3 rooms to choose from.
