So bad news first. The Chemex was super weak and my girlfriend’s flat white was pretty bitter (yes I understand the difference between bitter and good espresso). I make a Chemex almost every morning and I would take mine over this any day.

Having said that, I’d still definitely come back. It’s brand new and a lot of the workers have never been baristas before (in fact the girl making my cup was training a new barista), so I don’t expect it to measure up to Barista Parlor or Crema...yet!

The good news, everything else was a win. The baristas were all very friendly, the environment was great, and their mission (see pic) is really encouraging. The art on the walls, the creative lighting, the music, everything was really cool. Really excited to see the specialty coffee scene growing in smaller towns like Humboldt! Keep up the great work folks at The Coffee Shop!

Support local businesses. Wow, what a cool place. Industrial modern vibe. Friendly service and great food. Breakfast served all day long. Will be back!

The building is so charming. Old exposed brick everywhere. The staff were very friendly and quick. The whole place was very clean, stocked and organized. The bathrooms were spotless. The coffee was expensive and just ok. Still a great place to stop.

Really nice place with great people here in Humboldt just passing through to get some coffee and a bite to eat! The food is pretty good. Try the waffles it won't disappoint. There is another coffee shop over in Milan that I heard is pretty good as well and have different entertainment like arcade machines and so forth. I will be returning but will try other coffee shops.

Love their chicken salad on a croissant! Friendly staff, even when understaffed!

The very best coffee shop. The employees remember you and make you feel right at home. The decor is fabulous. You can sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee or choose from a variety of teas. You can have birthday parties or spend time with friends listening to live music. You must visit to experience. I highly recommend!!
