Herban Market

First off. We normally LOVE herban. It’s our favorite place to go in Franklin. The food is normally fresh and delicious and most importantly to us, healthy! Yes their prices are above average compared to the average restaurant, but we look past that because we know healthy food is worth it! Today we had a very bad experience. We placed a to go order for my daughters birthday. I had to pick it up and bring it back to urban air. Both of my daughters kids cheeseburgers were so tough and hard my 6 year old could not bite through it. My husbands burger was also VERY tough. I had to help my daughter disassemble her burger so she could consume it. My chorizo burrito on the other hand was excellent! Fresh warm. Their burgers were cold and almost as hard as a rock. It seemed like the burgers were made days ago and barely reheated. My husband didn’t want to make a fuss and go back to the restaurant and complain on our daughters birthday so we didn’t go. I’d be glad to show my credit card statement. Spending $60 on two adults and two kids meals, we expect edible food. We are SO disappointed, especially because we normally love this place so much.

My wife introduced me to this place and I liked it. The girl at the register wasn’t too interested in helping us, but the menu was great and the food was great. It’s a good place for people that like clean, healthy, quality food. I got the club sandwich and it was tasty, salad as a side. Salad was a 7.5/10

It's with much sorrow that I have to say my experiences at this restaurant have been going downhill. I used to come here multiple times a week and would have given it a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, after my recent visits, I can only give it 2 stars.

The biggest issue has been the significant decrease in food quality and taste. The dishes I once loved are now mediocre at best. On top of that, the prices have gone up by 33% or more, and the portion sizes have decreased significantly.

It's such a shame to see a place that was once a staple in my routine fall so far from what it once was. I hope the management takes note of these issues and makes changes to improve the experience for their customers.

I am a very health-conscious foodie but just because you serve good quality ingredients doesn't mean you can mishandle the food and turn into a mediocre item which is also borderline spoiled.
All of the cooked items were served lukewarm. It did not taste fresh whatsoever and although I wouldn't go far as saying I had an indigestion, my body clearly didn't process the meal as smoothly as my usual meals.
The food comes very (too?) quickly and clearly there is 0 intention from the person preparing your meal to serve you a fresh tasty dish.
If you happen to order dish that are meant to be served cold (like the potatoe salad) then you're fine: they just take it out of the fridge and serve it and it tastes clean and good.
But anything that is meant to be served hot apparently has either been sitting at room temperature for too long or is simply poorly reheated.
Too bad because it's rare to find restaurants that use quality ingredients like they do.

Warm, welcoming atmosphere; amazing selection in market. Latte smooth and rich and sandwich ingredients fresh and flavorful!

Literally the best market on the planet... my wife and I grew up in California around amazing health food markets but Herban is a slice of heaven. We love their selection of organic wine and are a huge fan of their coffee, juice and new wine bar!! We've been going through their menu for months and have LOVED everything!! One of the best burgers I've had, great pizza (especially their cauliflower crust) and Cobb salad is packed with protein. Everyone who works there makes you feel like family. We HIGHLY recommend Herban Market and love supporting this family owner business!

Drove 1hr 25 minutes to visit herban market, and it did not disappoint! WOW the food was amazing, I had the salmon burger and it came out so fast and was delicious! I loved exploring the market, I managed to find a few things I’ve been wanting to try for a while! 1000% will be back! My new favorite spot, without a doubt

Was visiting the area and it was so nice to find somewhere with healthy, REAL food! Staff was super friendly and I loved the vibe - perfect place to grab a quick bite and knock out some work. Loved the market - lots of healthy snacks and goods to choose from. Can’t wait to return!

I just recently moved to the area and found this place about 4 weeks ago and have been 3 times now! First two times I got a build your own salad; which was so so good! I love that I don't have to worry about what's in the food because everything is made from scratch, most ingredients are organic, they use grass fed beef, etc. Today I went and got the Herban Classic Breakfast and I must say that it was one of the best breakfast meals I've had in a long time!!! I rarely (and I mean rarely) order eggs at a restaurant and have them be really tasty....most restaurants don't salt eggs and they just taste bland. These eggs were so, so, so good!! The steak was flavorful, the potato hash was a great addition and the house made english muffin with house made jam was divine!! This is my new go-to!!! I do wish they had better seating because it is a little discouraging to walk around and walk around unable to find a seat. The space next door looks vacant, though...maybe they'll expand (hint, hint). :)
