Shipley Do-Nuts

We just had this location for the first time - DELICIOUS! Just like my Shipleys in Starkville & my parents childhood location in Jackson MS. It brought back such great memories. We can't wait to go there again! Thank you for finally bringing one to Memphis :)

I just left there poor customer service from the front cashier. Those donuts are not like Shipleys in Greenville Ms. Bring the Greenville recipe to Memphis.

The lady was nice at the window to start out, I’m really confused though cause these donuts were awful. The glazed donuts had no taste and were full grease. The chocolate glazed donuts were even worse. They were dry and crusty like they were 3 days old and didn’t taste anything like a donut. I’m 100% sure you could get a better donut from Kroger. Lastley the kolaches were the worst thing about the whole trip. They were dry and hard with a shriveled up little sausage. What waste of $29 I will never be back. You guys will seriously not make it if you keep trying to sell this junk.

This Cordova location isn’t giving what it’s supposed to give. As a Shipley donut lover, I must say I am extremely disappointed. I lived in TX for over 10 years and I ate Shipley donuts all the time and had never been disappointed……until now. The glazed donuts were small and undercooked. The cinnamon twist was shaped more like a lumpy fritter. I’d rather drive back to TX for Shipley’s.

I was really looking forward to having Shipley's donuts because its been many many years since I've had it. This place is HORRIBLE. The glazed donuts DO NOT TASTE ANYTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL RECIPE. I am a Houstonian and all the Shipley's in Texas TASTED THE SAME. The owner needs to follow the original recipes that Shipley's has made for over 40 years. The Kolaches are also disgusting. I was so disappointed, one bite of the glazed donut was like eating dry bread that sat out with mold on it. So disgusting. If you don't start making them the way they are supposed to be, you won't last long. 💯

Anyone who thinks this Shipley's in Cordova is great has not had the original Shipley donuts.

I grew up on Shipley’s in Greenville, MS. I have bragged on Shipley’s being the best donuts for years, when compared to Krispy Kreme. To say I was disappointed today is an understatement. The donuts were not fresh & they were hard. The donut holes looked like they were either cooked too long or made of wheat. I’m used to warm, pillow soft Shipley’s. These really missed the mark. With the business only being open a couple of weeks, I sincerely hope Shipley’s pulls it together. 😔

Have patiently awaited Shipley's in Memphis since moving here 15 years ago. Coming from a town 1/10th the size with 3 Shipley shops, I never could fathom why Memphis didn't have at least that many. At any rate, it's worth the wait for the best donut money can buy!

To start, really enjoy the Shipley Do-nut location near the Nashville Airport. It is the first stop after getting the rental to drive to Memphis. Was pleased to see they had one close by to Collierville. Decided to give them a try this morning, arriving 10mins after published opening. Nothing was ready, which is fine, understand things happen, but what struck me is the customer service that I received. Constructive Criticism for the lady working the head set, if it's not ready, let the customer know when you will be ready so they can plan when to return. 40 minute round trip to patronize your establishment. This happened at the Nashville store once , item I wanted wasn't available at opening was immediately told by the staff when to expect it would be ready. FWIW, just let the customer know this, it will go a long way.
