Super cute and it’s in a gorgeous hotel. I was excited to try the coffee and food and was told when I walked in that 30 minutes prior they’re no longer doing food. I was offered a pastry, not really going to fill me up when I came for lunch. I politely declined and left without trying anything. The barista was nice and offered a breakfast sandwich, but again not what I was coming in thinking I was going to try.
They don’t close at 2 as they advertise. I went by 5 min before two to grab a tea, and they said they were already closed. I’d imagine you’d actually close at 2 as stated on sign, but that is not the case here. Just want others to know they don’t actually close at 2 it is sometime before then.
The employees are super sweet! But the coffee is, unfortunately, super nasty lol. It's unusually strong and sour, like... grapefruity? I don't know, maybe some people love that. I generally prefer coffee with more of a dark chocolate-like flavor. I didn't try any food, so I can't say much on that.
The customer service there was maybe the worst I've ever had. If I could give less than a star I would, due to the interaction with the barista that worked there who seemed instantly bothered that I came up the register to buy anything in the first place. The coffee was probably great, but I ended up leaving before I purchased a drink.
The barista offered Mad Priest coffee or Goodmans coffee beans for the americano that I ordered. I used to work at Goodmans and drank americanos every time I worked so I wanted to try something different. I ordered the drink with Mad Priest beans (local and good roaster). He made a face and told me that I didn't want that. He asked me if I liked Starbucks coffee, and then proceeded to shame me for my order. Lastly he conceded, said he'd sell me what I ordered after I tried the drink with Goodmans (his preferred drink). If I didn't like it then he'd make me my order.
Not sure what kind of experience the one star reviewer had, but the staff here are among the friendliest baristas I've ever met. Super helpful, knowledgable, and always willing to answer any questions I have about coffee.
I love supporting local coffee roasters, and this shop carries not one but THREE different local roasters.
Any time I'm near the walking bridge, you better believe I'll be stopping by Provisions for my caffiene fix.
Extremely fun and educated on coffee! Beautiful presentations. Complimentary valet makes it the easiest coffee shop to park at in town. Great for business meetings or after a walk on the Bridge.
