Mado Bakery and Cafe

Update and lowered to 4 stars: As much as I love the pastries, sadly the coffee is not up to par, it often tastes burnt or old. So many great local roasters, if only Mado offered good coffee.

And here goes the diet...

Mado Bakery and Café is a must-experience, authentic 🇫🇷 pastries starting with melt in your mouth 🍪 from classic chocolate chip to salted caramel pecan, plus soon to come freshly baked baguette🥖 + 🥐 croissants.

The Parisian wife and husband team are masters of their craft and while the location in a strip mall on Cherry Boulevard may not suggest it, Mado is exquisite and worth the Java detour, too.

Bring a little time and patience as everything is made from scratch, plus it is only the lovely husband-wife team that currently does it all. And keep in mind, that not only are the delicious pastries and breads baked daily, but also with the best ingredients, including flour shipped all the way from France. You do pay a little bit more than at mass market places, but at Mado nothing is frozen and you do support a family that gave up everything back home to make their dreams come true here in the US.

A taste of French patisserie right in Rock Hill! They have a variety of excellent pastries available that taste as good as they look. I’ve eaten my way through France and this is the real deal.

Other reviewers were right when they suggested Mado’s chai latte; it’s so much more flavorful than what you typically get at coffee shops and now I can’t go back to the weak stuff.

Authentic French cafe owned by a wonderfully sweet French couple! Violin lessons are done in one of their extra spaces, so you might catch a show while you're there. Coffee and pastries both are wonderful. It's in a small spot that's easy to look over, but I would definitely suggest you stop by and try it out at least once; it's worth it every time.

Best Chi Tea Pumpkin Tea Ever… takes a lil longer to get in and out and a lil pricey compared to other similar places you can get the and products. If you want to support local - this is the place to do it. Other then that it would be a pass…based off of selection of items, Price too high and the amount of time it takes to get in and out.

I ordered a custom birthday cake (mango raspberry mousse). The cake was gorgeous and so delicious. French owners are very friendly. I highly recommend Mado Bakery and Cafe.

I revisited Mado with my friends in June. We ordered smoke bacon swiss cheese French Baguettes, Cream puff, Éclair, Tiramisu, and Chouquette. owners arranged the sweet nicely on the plate. They were beautiful and flavorful.

This place is incredible! My family is French and I have spent a few years living in France myself. Just walking into Mado smells exactly like I'm back in a bakery in Paris, and the taste is spot on. The owners are incredibly warm and friendly as well. I could come here every day!

First time visiting Mado, drove in from Charlotte and it was well worth it. All of the treats were delicious and the owner was sweet and personable. Haven’t had a better croissant yet! 10/10 recommend, I will be back!

Great Customer Service. Everything is made Fresh. It made me feel like I was in Paris! I cannot wait to go back and try everything! What a wonderful start to my Morning.🥰
