Mado Bakery and Cafe

Husband and wife are legitimate French pastry chefs that make everything in there from scratch. Always with imported ingredients directly from France. Also love the bank vault turned lounge area. We bought four pastries and three drinks. Not disappointed at all, definitely looking forward to going back because everything tastes amazing and we can't wait to go back.

Wow what a treat!! We checked out Mado today and the food and drinks were wonderful. The owners are so pleasant and extremely helpful. We had coffee and an eclair at the restaurant and brought other pastries home. If you enjoy French pastry this is the place to go to in the Rock Hill area. Totally recommend anyone trying Mado. We will be returning in the future.

What a gem! A French pastry chef in Rock Hill! The flour and butter are shipped from France and everything made fresh every morning. I had quiche (for breakfast) and an apple pastry. He also makes very highbrow and beautiful cakes for special order. Look at the site - incredible.

I absolutely love a French bakery, and what Mado's offer is beyond delicious. All goods I tried were spot-on.
The family that runs it are really nice and lovely. Highly recommend, but go early in the day.

Such an amazing family owned coffee shop! They have delicious baked goods hand made right there! Also the coffee is out of this world! Try something new and you won’t be disappointed!!!! Also the building used to be a bank so you can enjoy your coffee in a giant SAFE!

The bakery is wonderful, everything my family had was delicious. We start financier blueberry and almond. Both had incredible flavor along devine texture and a very slight sweetness. We then went back and got a croissant, which to say was one of the the best of my experiences. The outside crispy with perfect browned butter flavor. The inside light and flaky with a softness of warm butter.
We also had a coffee which both were mad perfectly, my cappuccino had a rich Expresso flavor to balance with steamed milk perfection. My wife's cold brew Carmel was delicious as well.

Highly recommend to anyone!!

OMG. What a gem. On our way to Charlotte Premium Outlets, made a stop around 3 pm. They were out of most pastries, but managed to buy 2 croissants, 2 choux (cream puffs), 2 madeleines, & a latte. The madeleines were heavenly. Sorry no photo. The croissants were perfect. The choux was different, but the pistachio cream was addictive. I wish there were more to buy. Service was friendly. She even spoke French to the guy making my latte. Cool bank vault door to the lounge. Very cool.

I really enjoyed my first visit here. I had a large cafe latte and an apple pastry. They've done wonders with an old branch bank; I particularly loved the way they turned the vault into a sitting room.

The lovely French owners if this cafe and bakery are doing an amazing job with the delicious treats and excellent coffee. Don’t miss the almond croissant with chocolate or the choux. French students, come practice your French, too! Serge & Odette are so kind and gracious to French language learners!

My husband and I went to Mado and the Gallette des Rois was simply Devine!! Just like in France.

We came one time before and had their espresso and Chai- which was amazing.

They are so exquisite if you go in the afternoon you should order the day before or that morning. Everything sells so quick.
This is my favorite French bakery in the Charlotte Area!!! French owned! A gem in Rock Hill!
