My friend and I decided to come to this restaurant this morning. We walked in and no one paid any attention to us. I went to the counter and asked if we could seat ourselves. The sever said no and went to get the hostesses. She came out and very rudely told us that the sign to wait to be seated was at the entrance. She then ignored us and served another couple. The couple told het to take care of us first. Keep in mind that no one was there to greet us to begin with. Needless to say, we didn't stay for a meal. I know that there is a shortage of staff, but this doesn't excuse rude behavior especially from a person who is the host or hostess of an eating establishment.

Lovely breakfast with very large portions and conveniently located near some shopping to walk off the calories afterwards.

We love love love this restaurant and have been coming for 15+ years since it was in its old location. Everything is yummy and we always enjoy our servers and the wonderful coffee ☕️ they make. It’s at the back of shelter cove and definitely worth a visit!

First time back since summer of 2019 and I was pretty surprised at the price increases. Saw previous posts mentioning the same. And while I know supply chain impacts it, it’s hard to justify a sandwich costing $18 and black coffee and iced tea each just pennies shy of $5. Two individual tarts and a plain croissant were $25. Also out of ice and two sides before the lunchtime rush. I really hate leaving less than positive reviews, but hopefully this will be helpful in case you’re thinking of bringing your family’s because while it’s expensive for restaurants, it’s expensive feeding our families as well.

Excellent pastries and food. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. My only complaint would be the coffee. While they have high end machines they could use lighter roasted coffee and teach the staff how to make some of the traditional drinks. This review however is coming from someone who has an espresso machine. The coffee is good but not exceptional like some of the hipster coffee shops specializing in coffee. With all that said this place is a must visit in Hilton Head for the breakfast and pastries dishes alone!

Food is delicious. Everything melts in your mouth and is very well prepared. The staff and environment is very relaxing. The orange juice is worth it, it indeed is freshly squeezed. I definitely recommend this place. With covid they had indoor and outdoor dinning and it was not crowded.

We went for lunch and had a very enjoyable meal. The menu was diverse, the food was very well prepared and delicious, and the portions large. Well worth the price. The waiter was attentive, well versed in the food preparation, and very pleasant. The added bonus of the pastry shop made the whole experience very Parisian. We very much enjoyed our time in the French Bakery.

NO stars. we waited for over an hour, only to finally sit down and find out they HAVE NOTHING. They were not able to make burgers fries, or anything hot. No one informed us, no one even mentioned it they just started at us waiting, wasting our day away while we could have been somewhere else. DO NOT eat here.

Our visit to The French Bakery was for a late lunch. We were greeted by Miguel who was friendly and helpful. We both ordered the French Onion Soup with my wife getting the cup and myself the bowl. We were amazed t both sizes (pretty large). The presentation was inviting and the flavor was amazing. I would definitely recommend this for an appetizer! My wife had the Caprese sandwich with homemade chips and I the roasted vegetable sandwich with fruit cup. Both sandwiches were large and filling. The flavors melded perfectly. Miguel came to check on us often and filled our glasses as soon as they were half down. Wonderful spot for lunch!

Great food and awesome bakery! Loved the coffee too! I’d give this place five stars except that the service was a little on the slow side.. it could be that it was really crowded when we were there but I am sure they can do better. The staff were very friendly and nice but they do need to work on quicker service. But overall, really good food and would highly recommend coming here when you are in Hilton head.
