The French Bakery & European Cuisine

I have never in my life posted a negative food review nor sent food back. However, as a local who has lived here for 10 years, my last experience deemed necessary. When I began coming here the quality of service and food was much better and for the price. Originally my crepes used to be around 10ish dollars (during my last visit in January 2022) and the last time I went there (May 2022) they were 18. My iced coffee was 5.99 which is more expensive than 75% of coffee shops and stated that it included free refills which I never received. I am deeply saddened to say that I will never go here again after my last experience, a local classic has gone greedy and downhill. I understand inflation but you cannot raise your prices in a five month timespan by almost 50% and expect people to not complain. 60 dollar bill in question below

Don't let the pretty pictures on their FB page mislead you. We had a light breakfast there on Nov. 2 ($39.00 - ouch). Coffee is $5.99++. Very disappointing chocolate croissant. Stay away from the egg white omelette with Brie. It's served in a puddle of what looks like melted butter, but is the Brie. Not sure how that can melt that fast inside an omelette? By the way, and not to be picky, but you may want to look at your men's bathroom sign: MONSIEURS?

I had an amazing experience at The French Bakery and Courtyard Cafe ! Staff there are very friendly, and the food was so delicious! I got a peppermint mocha iced coffee, and the veggie sandwich served with freshly made potatoe chips! This establishment is great for a special meal with great ambience.

If you're looking for a excellent place to grab breakfast or lunch look no further. This place is absolutely incredible and the food is top notch. This place stays pretty busy but it is definitely worth the wait hands down.

Perfect and delicious pastries. This is why you go. The service was excellent today. The quiche was a bit dry and burnt on the bottom though. The Nutella croissant and the raspberry and cream cheese croissant are our favorites. When it's busy, expect to wait but it's worth it. The atmosphere is also very nice. The only thing missing is some French music or something more old worldy than pop.

I really wanted to enjoy this place. But when you order peach french toast, you would expect more than two slices of peaches. It was super dry, barely dipped into batter. They took it away, but we still got charged for it. The server was really nice, the crepes were delicious. Just stay away from the french toast. Croque Madame was superb.

Delicious! Very delicious! Decadent bakery case. Friendly attentive service. Pretty restaurant. This $5 hot chocolate puts your favorite drive up coffee joint shame.

Came early-ish (8:30am) on a Sunday morning. Easy to get a table outside but by the time we were leaving it was getting busier (9:30am-ish). The food was excellent! My husband and I split a classic French toast (we got brioche but you can pick any of their breads) and added extra bacon and mixed berries. It was all perfect, flavorful, and cooked very well. Bacon was crispy but could cut with a knife, berries were in season, bread had a crispy crust and soft inside.

I purchased 6 breakfast items—two of the cherry cream cheese pastries, a cherry turnover, a peach pastry, and two mini tarts? One was key lime and one was lemon. I didn’t think to take a picture until we had already eaten a few, but am including a picture. The price was over $50 plus I left a 20% tip for the young college student that helped me. The pastries were great, but I thought it entirely too expensive. I was visiting the island and this place came recommended.
