Excellent dining experience. I returned for lunch after a previous breakfast. The signature chicken salad did not disappoint. The bread was cranberry apricot and so fresh and soft. The accompanying side salad was delicious with their homemade vinaigrette dressing. They even include an egg and grated carrots. I highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing breakfast! A great find on our vacation to Hilton Head island. Highly recommend.

The food was delish but it did take some time to get it. I went with my dad to pick up pastries for the family on a not busy Sunday morning, right after open. We ordered from the pastry case and one coffee. It seemed like a very involved process to get us all our selections and it did take quite some time. But the food was good and was fresh.

A welcome surprise! As we were looking for a change from pizza and burgers, a wonderful salesperson recommended we try The French Bakery. She warmed that there may be a wait and there was but we grabbed a perfectly executed coffee at the to go section while we waited for our table to be ready. When we settled in, our server recommended the chicken salad and it was perfect! The bread was a cranberry and apricot soft dough = yumtastic! My husband had the crab benedict. So yummy we forgot to take pictures! Can't wait to go again tomorrow. The menu has many choices!

The French Bakery was a great choice to grab breakfast, brunch, lunch. They seem to be a pretty popular place and it’s no surprise why. Caution though ⚠️ their portion sizes are pretty big and could easily be a shared meal for those who don’t eat heavy breakfasts. Loved the French toast! Service was fast and friendly, they had indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Last thing, their orange juice seemed FRESH squeezed and had lots of pulp. We didn’t ask for pulp free so we don’t know if that was even an option. It was still a great experience and the family loved the food!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The service was attentive and the food was excellent. I love these kind of European influenced cafés. The ambience was wonderful with their Provence inspired table cloths and the smell of coffee and croissants. Definitely a must try while visiting Hilton Head Island!

Was so excited to have a French bakery in the area however it looked amazing but very disappointing in taste and flavor. It is as American as you can get, short cut on the best ingredients for the pastries and went cheap however still charges a premium price. A slice of quiche is $20 and for 4 pastries we paid $26. Disappointed and will not go back.

We came down from NY and tried this place for the first time. The first issue was that the cashier didn't have any bills in the register to give me change for my cash and there weren't any signs to indicate that before I checked out. I had to hold the line and go back to my car to get my debit card. Then, when my crepe came out it was allowed to sit on the side before I had to ask for it. The cashier, a young man, then "pushed" the container over to me instead of handing it over. Knowing it was a "to go" order he also didn't give us a bag until we asked for it. Even when giving us the bag, he didn't put the container in the bag so we had to ask him to put it in the bag. Not great service. I will likely go back at least one more time but hopefully we get a different cashier and they have bills to return change.

Visited here for a late morning brunch with some friends. The Bellini and Paris quiche were my choice and were both excellent. My friends had the Berry French toast, Cherry French toast and the Farmers omelette. No complaints were heard. We each left with pastries from the counter as well. My choice was the Carmel tart. The whole shop was just lovely. The reception was a bit lacking, but our waitress was friendly and helpful.

This place is great start to finish. The food (we tried the quiche Lorraine and Paris) were delicious and larger than expected. The atmosphere is perfect: French music, I love the theming, the bathrooms are very clean and smell amazing. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The location is perfect; you are right on the bay side. Overall fantastic first impression!
