The owners are helpful and kind and had plenty of recommendations for us! We loved the dairy free sorbets and the Unicorn mystery flavor. They recommended trying the Unicorn flavor in the Lavender cone which was a great pairing. We stopped twice on our trip and loved the rotating flavors between visits! The Drunkin’ Unicorn was a delicious surprise!

Yum yum yum. I usually leave pictures along with my review but all that is left is my chocolate mustache. I got dark chocolate sorbetto and coconut gelato in a toasted coconut waffle cone. It is absolutely the best frozen treat you can get on Hilton Head island. It is refreshing and delicious. It is on the pricier side, but if you’re willing to drop some coin on your dessert, this gelato is well worth it. I look forward to going to Nonna Marie’s whenever we’re here and this time by the time we left, the line was wrapped around the building.

Hardworking family trying to make their business thrive after opening during the pandemic. Everything is homemade by the owners, even down to the whipped cream. I had the chocolate and coffee gelato. The coffee was fantastic! I also sampled the toasted marshmallow and recommend it as well.

We’re in love!!!! Two weeks ago we had family in from Oklahoma. We wanted something cold & sweet after 9 pm one night. Well guess who IS open after 9… No one is other than Nonna Marie’s!!!!
Our Treat was amazing as was the friendliness & service!!! Our family had to go home but living here will definitely have me & my husband returning ❣️

I just can’t put into words how amazing this establishment is. First off, this truly is a family owned and operated business. Everything is homemade by the family (gelato, waffle cones, waffle bowls, cookies…everything). Every time we went in the family was there (even the family dogs too, they are also amazing)
They are wonderful people. We all loved getting to know them a little bit more every time we visited. The gelato is top notch, every single unique flavor!! Then there are the cookies….so so good!!!! My favorite is the pignoli!
Again, I can’t say enough about how amazing everything is here!!!

Cookies were delicious! Wish they had a bigger place to sit and enjoy....

I really feel a little bad giving two stars but considering the cost, this is some of the worst gelato I've ever had. It's not creamy whatsoever and it's actually icy - as in I'm crunching bits of ice when eating it. The flavors are ok, but at $10.50 for two small scoops this is nuts, and I live in DC where things aren't exactly cheap. The people working the shop were very friendly but I'd never come back for this overpriced "gelato."

Best ice cream on the island after having tasted all the other ones, real Italian flavor, amazing service from an amazing family! Don't waste your time standing in line somewhere else :-)

The owner was very friendly. There were many different flavors of gelato and sorbet. Our disappointment came at the extreme price! We got an Affogato (gelato, espresso, chocolate syrup, whipped cream & a cherry) and a waffle cone with 2 scoops of gelato and whipped cream. We paid $23! Before tax. The Affogato was $11, the cone was $12 (the whipped cream, we found out when we ooked at our receipt, was $1 add-on). My husband didn’t ask for whipped cream, the owner asked him if he wanted it. It seemed like a strange ask for a cone. But now we know why, she gets an extra $1 every time she squirts the whipped cream can! Another oddity, there are no price signs in the shop. This isn’t our first time eating gelato, we’ve had great gelato that cost less than this! We thought this gelato didn’t taste homemade and definitely wasn’t worth the price we paid.
