Coffee Break Cafe

The coffee was good. The atmosphere was good. The low review is for the bad service.

My sister and I were coming through town and went in for coffee. We went to the counter and was told to sit and the waiter would take our order. We sat at a table for 10 minutes when the waiter came over and ask if we were waiting for anything. We told him we wanted coffee and he said we had to order at the counter. When we went to the counter the lady, she seemed irritated. There seemed to be poor communication between the employees.

Everyone else in the coffee shop was eating food and was served very well. It seemed like a bother to serve us coffee. If I pass through again, I probably won't stop in.

Service was fast and friendly. Pancakes are different, each one is the size of a plate and over an inch thick. Truly a cake. Tasty but not typical pancakes. No need to order 2. The eggs were just ok. Served on the cold side. As was the toast but when isn't toast served cold! Sausage links were just warm. And I'm sure you are really proud of your grits but add some potatoes to your menu.

We only had coffee but oh my, it was amazingly good and the owner even came outside to where we were sitting for our feedback. A truly caring owner goes far in my book. I will definitely return on my next trip to the area.

I would give it 50 stars if I could. I "customized" my three egg omelet (made from local farm fresh eggs I might add) and it was DELICIOUS! Even the owner went from table to table checking on the guests!

Great find. Ashley took great care of us. One of the best pancakes I've ever had! Big, fluffy, crispy on the outside, with a nice touch of cinnamon. Egg sandwich on croissant also perfect, with a tomato slice and some mayo of course.

Loved the atmosphere and the cashier was polite and thorough (verified what we wanted) with taking our order. The coffee itself was just okay. Not really worth the price, but overall the experience itself was pleasant enough.

Legitimately one of the best meals I've had. Every detail of the food received attention, including buttering the toast on both sides and coming the bacon so it was both crunchy and chewy. Masterful. Great service, too!

Cute little coffee shop in a great location! We got coffee and a breakfast here, and the entire staff were lovely people. The coffee was great, and the food was awesome. The pancake was the biggest and fluffiest I've ever had!

The best breakfast ever. Seriously, yankee grits made with sweet cream, tasty bacon, bakery goods, and huge mugs of hot coffee. Great service. And Ron, the proprietor is friendly.

The grits were amazing and I don't normally like grits. The omelet was fluffy. Wish I lived closer so I could go back.
