We have been to a few of these around the country. Great idea and amazing effort to get more cats populated with people and out of the cage of a shelter. They have a fun area to experience the cats with offerings for beverages and light snacks.
The coffee and teas are good and sitting area open and well lit. They have a high adoption rate of over 1 adoption per day. Loved seeing 2 adoptions today when we visited.
Great effort to the team and such a worthwhile cause.

Pounce Cat Cafe is such an amazing little gem in Charleston. Even if you have no plans to adopt a cat it is just such a fun and relaxing experience. We decided to do the extra Cat Whisperer package and I highly recommend it! You’ll quickly become the cats favorite person in the cafe. I was shocked at how clean the cafe was as well, for the amount of cats in there you’d expect some fur flying around but surprisingly enough there is basically nothing. All the cats we met were absolute sweethearts too. If you’re looking to adopt a cat as a first timer this is a lovely way to sit with a cat for a bit and see if it’s the right cat for you! A very quiet, relaxed and fun environment for both you and the kitties here. The staff is lovely as well, I appreciated that they didn’t push for us to adopt (again we were not planning to) but instead just let us hang out and enjoy our time.

Such a wonderful place! I went with friends, and we enjoyed getting to sit and play with the kitties. It's about $15 per hour and drinks are on them. The workers are so sweet and it was a great atmosphere. Highly recommend for families and cat-lovers.

I am visiting Charleston for the first time this week and had a great time at the cat cafe. The employees were super friendly and the cats were so cute. There was plenty of room for the cats to sleep and play. The best part about this cafe is that they’ve participated in over 2,000 adoptions since 2016. I love what they are doing for these little kitties.

Absolutely amazing cat Cafe. The special events they have are extra fun. And for such a great cause! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for a new cat in your life or you are just looking for a fun visit with some kittens. We've been dozens of times and it's a completely different experience every time thanks to the constant influx of new Kitties. 5 stars, highly recommend!

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day date this past Saturday. As a cat lover this is an absolute must if you are either visiting or a local resident. It's wonderful how many cats that may have otherwise never been adopted have found their furever homes thanks to Pounce. I look forward to a return visit in about a month to see all the new cats.

I love this place! I’m not old enough to drink but they have really good teas and coffee. My sister and I make it our mission to go every time I come down to visit and we have never had a bad experience. The cats are very friendly and each have their own personality which make bonding with them sooo much more special. You can ask for catnip and use some of the cat toys around the store to entice the cats too you if you’re finding them to be a little shy. All they ask is to not pick them up which is more than easy to respect. Overall a great place to visit!

It was a great experience! I enjoyed an alcoholic beverage while my husband had a non alcoholic beverages and we sat/chilled and played with 12+ wonderful kitties that ranged from all ages. 10/10 will do it again!

Very nice and welcoming environment where we adopted our new family member and quite the character, Penny Lane. The process was quick and seamless. This is a great concept to connect animals to new homes. We couldn’t love her more. 😻

I love checking out local cat cafes and this one was filled with friendly kitties. Most of them were pretty relaxed or napping, but all were friendly to people. A few of the smaller ones didn't like other cats, but that's just how it is with cats. You pay $15 for an hour and you get a beverage included. I was there a bit longer than an hour, but I don't think they minded, since there was only one other customer there. All the cats are up for adoption and you can see their profile in the binder to check their likes and dislikes. A definite visit for anyone who likes cats, even if you're not looking to adopt.
