If you want to support a small local business, get AMAZING coffee and have an awesome customer experience then this is the spot. They also have an ideal space to sit down, do work and be able to meet people. Jordan and Jade are a power house!!

Best coffee shop in Newport for coffee fanatics. Their milk is always perfectly steamed, and their flavors balance well with the incredible espresso. Fairest prices on the island, and friendliest atmosphere too. I don't live close by any means, but this is my go to in the area in a heartbeat. Dying to make it back and try their doughnut lattes, but in the meantime I will dream of the salted maple! Also tried a bagel sandwich of theirs with just egg and a plethora of veggies, and that was just drool worthy.

Great coffee, cool guy, awesome concept! Jordan makes simple and delicious espresso from a barebones setup, complete with beautiful latte art.

The drinks and food are as good as the 5 star reviews indicate 😊.

Hands down, best coffee around. I always grab a cup of coffee from here or my beans because they source the highest quality around.

As a local I know Custom House on Aquidneck is popular, and I just got their Organic roast today, but doesn't even compare. Simple Merch has all the fruity hints, flavors, and doesn’t leave your mouth with that overwhelming syrupy coffee taste. they just know how to brew coffee the right way.

Custom House: 7.9/10
Starbucks: 5/10
Dunkin: 3.5/10

Plus Simple Merch does cheaper brewed coffee than Starbucks and even does the drink coupon the better. (Playing card)

We were just passing through on the way to Nantucket and found Simple Merchant on google. We were REALLY impressed with the atmosphere, coffee, and the sourdough glazed donut we got- seriously, the coffee was incredible. You can tell he really knows his stuff- and get a pastry, it was so delicious.

10 out of 10. So good.

Just a really great place run by an honest & hardworking guy who is really passionate about what he does / his business.

Wow. I just popped into this place, because my 70 year old mom gets her cappuccino from here after her workout in the church nearby. Absolutely, zero complaints. Just a lovely experience. Chipper service, great prices, atmosphere, and delicious. It really makes all the difference when employees (owner?) like/ enjoy / their work / are treated well.

Great coffee and the space is great! My 2 year old loves the crayons and books that are available.

This place is the gold standard for a cafe and the owners are so kind and friendly. Some of the best espresso I've had and their breakfast sandwich is very unique and worth the drive on it's own.
