The Beehive Cafe

Pros:
*Good variety of food options
*Has outdoor tables for seating
*Food is good
*Upstairs is beautiful and brightly-lit (natural light and lighting)

Cons:
*Their drink menu for coffees and espressos or other specialty drinks are only available on their chalkboard. They do not have it available on a printed menu, unlike their food.
*Not wheelchair accessible. No contrasting on the stairs for the visually impaired community.

A very small place but very popular. The wait to get the coffee is long because of all the individual made specialty coffees. So a simple coffee and tea takes a long time. They should try to find a quick away for that type of coffee. We split an egg sandwich which was very good and very reasonable. The young women running the place are very personable and do a nice job. It's upstairs seating and outside seating.

Great place for a coffee. You can sit at independence park and enjoy the water view.

Thanks to the guy that literally closed the door in my face because they closed at 4 PM and I walked in exactly at 4 PM. It's 4:02 as I'm back in my car worrying this. All I wanted was an espresso, he didn't even ask or even say anything to me as he closes the door literally in my face... Now I understand I was at closing except I only drove all the way down here because their Google hours says they don't close until 8 PM.

Love the music here and their chai tea is delicious and their honey almond cake is so moist!

I went there today with my husband and two kids to get coffee and pastry. We have been there multiple times, and have brought other couples and families with us as well. The past few times we've been there, I noticed an unprofessional attitude from the staff which includes eye rolling and cocky remarks to their customers. We've spent $70-80 on lunch, pastry, and coffee. Due to the unprofessional behavior that I personally experienced today by the owners and staff, we will no longer spend our money at this cafe.

Stopped by while traveling through the state, wish I could be a regular!! The food is excellent if a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! I tried the orange ricotta pancakes - deliciously moist with just the right amount of orange. My partner had the beehive biscuits with bacon which were "good" - I have to assume he liked them more than he let on when I asked as they disappeared from his plate before I could ask to try a bite! He wasn't even that hungry when we went, either.

The staff were very polite and helpful, despite the ordering/seating process being a little confusing for us. Place an order at the counter and they'll give you a table marker (ours was a toy panther) with silverware, bring your food and drink to the table of your choosing, but never come back to check on you or see if you need anything else. Read some reviews after we went and didn't realize we were supposed to self-bus? Of the three other parties that were dining in, only one cleared off their own table so I'm not sure if that review is accurate

TL;DR: food is yummy and worth the price, would come back if I'm ever in the area again.

Honestly not worth it, seems “super popular” but for what reason?? The food/drinks are not worth it, fun flavors listed but they just taste like watered down coffee, less then mediocre and worse then gas station or truck stop coffee. Pancakes were all burnt, syrup was just Walmart brand. Not to mention $4 per GENERIC pancake, ridiculous price. Save your self the trouble and make Canadian bacon pancakes at home, won’t cost you an arm and a leg. This place was nothing special! Will not be going back.
