Wow what a great place for a coffee with a friend. Loved the clean and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The pulls were great and pours were just as good. Seriously...thank you for the great service and better coffee.
They ruined my favorite place. I loved coming to Roasters to chill and study from time to time, but now it's loud, the seats are much less comfortable, and the coffee is worse. Can someone recommend a better place around town?

When BRC use to be Roasters, I had previously rated 5 stars and wrote “Always good!” Well looking through my reviews, I noticed BRC had absorbed Roaster’s old reviews! Unfortunately, I rate BRC only 3 stars because their coffee is has a flat flavor, it isn’t as full as other roasts. One drink I do enjoy is their Mexican Mocha & the service is good 😊 I hardly ever stop by, though. Only about 3 times since they changed to BRC.
Personally I understand how it happens that "baristas" today generally don't know what regular espresso drinks are, they mostly only know the special of the month and how to make it, along with the fruity, "fancy", complicated, multi-flavored drinks stereotypical of most coffee shop patrons (mochas, flavored lattes, etc.). So I might understand how it happens (because of the volume of people that frequent shops like this order those drinks) but I don't understand the why. I judge a coffee shop/company by how well it's employees make something as simple as a cappuccino . . . IF they even know what it is. After literal years of failed attempts by employees of Black rock (and Roasters before that), the cappuccino I was served this time was the worst I'd ever had. It was akin to slightly warm milk with a hint of coffee due to the "barista" telling me she knew what it was then proceeded to fill the 12 ounce cup to the brim with slightly above room temperature milk, no foam, after adding the single, ground-filled shot. No steaming of the milk, let alone foaming, was involved. One the simplest yet elegant coffee/espresso drinks . . . no soy, flavoring, or other complications/steps involved . . . and the employees of this company (and the previous before it) can't seem to even come close, instead getting further and further from what most of the rest of the world would consider Baristas. I try to avoid negative reviews (writing or reading them), but no amount of effort over several years has seemed to reverse the trend so I felt it time to give up and write this review and to not patronize this company again.
Perfect study space very comfortable and clean. Back when it was roasters. Now they took out all the nice furniture & made it feel like a get in and get out type vibe. I’m good on that.
This was the first time I got food from here and I can't say I will again. Both the bagel and croissant were microwaved warm, which gave an unpleasant chewy texture and there was hardly any meat or cheese in the Ham and Cheese Croissant. Their coffee is good and I thoroughly enjoyed my Irish cream latte. I will just know for the future not to order any food to go along with my coffee.
This is the 2nd time we have came to the shop an hour before close, and told we could not get a blended drink because they were down for the night. Why close up your stuff an hour before close?
Saturday 12/10. Sidewalks not cleared of snow at approx 12:30 pm. I fell. My friend & another customer (thank you) who saw it happen got me to my car. Suddenly someone appeared with a snow shovel!!! Sprained ankle....a few days of pain & a few weeks before I can return to normal exercise routine. Lucky it wasn't worse. Black Rock never gets another dime of my money.
Staff was friendly but wasn't very knowledgeable about their own menu.
I ordered an ICED snickers with an EXTRA shot and they made a Hot snickers with no shot, when I told them I ordered Iced, all they did was dump the hot one they made into a cup of ice and called it a day! All my ice is melted before I left the drive thru, there isn't an extra shot in it. Really just screwed up the order and instead of taking the 2 minutes to make a new drink, the girls working there made the poor decision to reuse the hot drink and mess up my order even more. Never using this location again!!
Good place for a drink. They don't serve drip coffee, but plenty of quality options instead.
Customer service is outstanding. I love their coffee and hibiscus 🌺 tee. Once in a while I drive from Yakima to the Tri Cities just for a black rock coffee.
Favorite coffee shop of All time. They are always nice, positive, and personal.
Courteous and professional customer service. The hours were convenient and it is conveniently located I will definitely come back to this coffee shop.
Good coffee, good service, a bit expensive but, given to he times, I can't complain too much. But I hold a grudge as I was rather attached to Roasters 🤣🤣🤣
