Today was my first time visiting and everything from the food to the service was exceptional. I really loved my roastbeef sandwich and the cupcake was amazing.
very overpriced in my opinion and the cupcakes are mediocre. what is shown is $10. if you come here, get the smoothies the price isn’t that bad. I understand why it cost a lot but in the same breath really? 5 dollars for a cupcake…
Best coffee shop in Renton! We've been customers for about 10 years and still love Common Ground. Great drinks, great food, great people!
Super friendly service, wonderful atmosphere. I got my order super fast even though they're swamped with only two people working. I've only been here 20 minutes and already in love with this place.
A real cafe! Friendly people serving authentic espresso coffee and delightful cup cakes in a true cafe environment. Be warned, the ‘large’ cup is bigger than the large you get elsewhere in the world. 😉

Both the cupcakes and coffee are so incredible. The coffee beans/syrup tastes quality and the cupcakes taste home made. Will be coming again

This is a great little cafe which I love. I used to go in there all the time when they were open later and they had boba. They still have the best cupcakes in town. Go for the drinks and stay for the hanging out.
Super cute local coffee shop. I've been here half a dozen times and they always have great service, fresh coffee, and tasty cupcakes. They switch out their cupcake flavors seasonally as well ❤️
I love meeting friends here for cupcakes and a warm drink! They have a nice amount of seating and everyone is so friendly. Plus the cupcakes are so wonderfully decorated that they can make any day feel special. I hope you get a chance to come here with a friend or your book to take a nice break from the hurry of life & enjoy a delicious cupcake.
Love this place! The cupcakes were so most and delicious, and the atomsphere highlights a familial hearth with the warm furniture, yet soft decor. It’s also very cheap compared to the average coffee store and the cupcakes are all very solid, very worth every buck you spend on it! It’s super reminiscent of those small cafes you would find New York City, and visit for quick small treats like these. I got “The Ballerina” which can be dauntingly sweet, however coupled with the coffee it all balanced out. I give them 3.5/5 seperately, but a 5/5 all together. Staff was super nice and place was so cozy. I recommend this to all cupcake lovers and those in Renton looking for a more antique, vintage decorated coffee shop that will truly bring you a piece reminiscent of your home as well. If Boona Boona and Refuel Cafe has some of the best coffee in Renton, I’d say this place has some of the best cupcakes!! Love the plants by the way! And it is definitely one of the cheaper coffee stores in Renton as well.
A carrot cake cupcake and coffee, what a great afternoon treat! Sweet but not too sweet, perfect. Friendly helpful staff in a nice atmosphere made this a great stop.
Nice/cute family owned spot--coffee, smoothies, cupcakes and other baked treats. The couple/owners working the counter are so nice!! Husband working the counter and wife decorating the cupcakes as ordered. Great little spot--we'll be back again soon!
I was under the impression that the business on 5th Ave would be open till 6pm on Sunday but as soon as I got there at 4pm she closed the window! I’m very upset, considering I come there almost everyday before work! Is this normal or is it the location? Either way it’s very disappointing.
We've been here a few times. Staff is always very friendly. Food and drinks are good. Reasonable prices. Cupcakes are delicious. Good spot for a quick breakfast in Renton.
The area that the coffee shop is located is very good. The customer service experience I had was good. They have indoor and outdoor sitting, they both were very clean and nice. The Wi-Fi was fast, comfortable chairs. My uncle had there cupcake and seasonal drink which he liked. I wanted vegan cupcake but they ran out, so I didn’t get the chance to taste there cupcake. They also close early. Overall it was nice.
Nice, wonderful little establishment. I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and the breakfast sandwich. However, they didn't have Egg nog flavor syrup to put a shot in my coffee. (Yea I know petty 🤪😝) But seriously it's was a great spot, I'll have to go back and try a cupcake. And the owner and wife were a serious delight they stay Covid compliant as they managed their customers. #petfriendly
Must go! We came in for cupcakes and I anticipated at least 45 min from the time we ordered and they only took 5 min! They’re gorgeous and delicious! The coffee is sooo yummy too! They have golden lattes which I never find down in Renton! Cozy atmosphere, yummy sandwiches, pleasant employees/owners.. HIGHLY recommend.
We went here on a whim while passing by, and I'm glad we did! We ended up getting drinks, cupcakes, and a sandwich, and all of them were fantastic. The woman behind the counter was cheerful, which was the cherry on top of an already great experience.
