Love this place! Wonderful coffee with great flavor choices. We can’t wait to try the brewery & food items
Looked forward to stopping in and trying some brews. Said hello to the staff as walked in, sat down at the counter, waited 10 minutes without a peep from anyone. Walked out right in front of the staff and no one said a word. Place was empty inside. Might try again but lots of other places to go first.
Cool atmosphere, open and bright. Great service, and a delicious decaf americano with oatmilk.
The worst customer service ever. They forgot my order, which is fine, I asked about it and waited another 20 minutes before they said it was ready. I got my order and it wasn’t what I ordered at all. So disappointing.
With all the “Specialty” Coffee Shops emerging, it’s quite refreshing to find the ones that are actually capable of making a good cup of coffee! Honeybee Coffee Co. did just that! I’m a bit of a coffee enthusiast you could say, others have mentioned the word “addiction”. LOL I digress; stopped into Honeybee for a regular ole Americano, because that’s what I felt like this morning. As these unique establishments emerge, it seems like they can get very creative in their ability to make the “next gen” offering of diverse java. Which is great, don’t get me wrong, I love learning new methods and establishing new concoctions which tantalize the tastebuds. However; this can often lead to the inability to make a regular freaking cup of coffee. Not at Honeybee! In fact, it was one of the better tasting Americanos I’ve had of late. Kudos to Honeybee for “keeping it real” and making good coffee. Also, it’s very much worth noting the atmosphere. The two colleagues working behind the counter had great energy which was apparent in the great time they were having providing the area with great drink! Thank HCC!
Exceptional place with awesome rustic theme, enjoyable lattes and pastries. The honey latte is delicious!
As a mom with a rare hour to myself, I just wanted a real cappacino from a cup, to just sit and quietly enjoy it. This was my 3rd place to try (one place had a broken machine, the other did not offer cappuccino, only regular coffee), and then I saw Honeybee was open til 9 and drove down from the Gallaher exit. I came in and asked for my drink and was told only to-go orders were available. I assured I would be done and gone before they closed in over half an hour, and was then informed that they had already washed dishes for the day so only to-go orders. I wish the hours were updated for this so I would not have wasted time driving all the way there. Got back in my car, it was not even 830 yet. Atmosphere seemed nice, but seriously bummed, may as well have gone to SB, ugg. Can't comment on quality of drinks, etc. May try again, not sure.
Nice place to come ,take a break and have some good coffee, good wifi too.
I went in for a matcha. When I first walked in there was no acknowledgement that I was even there, then when I walked closer to the register to order one of the guys working looked right at me and turned his back just after making eye cinta e with me and started laughing. Then the other guy came over and got my order. I wanted a plain matcha -I always order it this way when places don’t have my particular milk- I use unsweet almond or cashew and all they serve is oat or macadamia milks, which I can’t use either one so I asked nicely to please modify it and I can use my own milk and he can just mix the powder with warm water half full in a small cup and it felt to inconvenient for him and made fun of the order in general. Very strange cold vibe. I was just passing through on my way back home to Nashville so I’ve never been here before, still an off customer service experience. Pretty bummed about it because I don’t ever leave reviews unless something needs to be addressed
Exceptional coffee and hang-out spot for those looking for brews that are NOT a chain. I spent a Sunday morning here enjoying a Mocha, Chorizo & Egg Breakfast Burrito, and later a Watermelon Kolsch style beer. Everything was delicious. The setting was great, there were plenty of seats during the mid-morning rush, and plenty more outside when the weather is better.
The workers weren’t too friendly. I asked if they had warm sandwiches (because I saw a pic of a sandwich on another reviewer) and she just looked at me confused. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere. Other than that, the coffee was just ok and my flat bread was burnt. Not worth it.
Great place to go in Knoxville for fantastic beer and coffee. Brew Master Steve is very knowledgeable with brewing. Great atmosphere, clean, great food and easy to get to. When in Knoxville definitely stop by! Highly recommended. Tell them John sent you. 😎
LOVING HONEY BEE BREWS! Just stopped in to try the brews at Honey Bee and I was so glad I did! Cheers to Steve the brewmaster! We just had the Honey Coffee Blonde & the Light Beer so far but they were both great. We’ll be back to try the rest soon!
I've been here 3 times now for club meetings and so I think I've given this place a fair shake. It is constantly bad coffee. I ordered the brown sugar, the lavender, & the mocha & a chocolate cookie. All terrible and over priced. The staff is consistently rude and disinterested. The place is usually pretty clean tho & lots of seating. But parking is limited.
I used to come here all the time and loved it but they have really unfriendly people working there now. A guy gave me a burned pastry ($5 pastry so i expect it to be amazing) and it was half the size of the others and burned.. i mentioned it so the girl motives for me to give it to her without using words, threw it back into the case, and just slammed my new one COLD into the bag and gave me a smug smile as i left. I’ll never ever be back. You all should be concerned that they served that pastry again.
Nice place, Super friendly staff, but I went 3 times and they can not flavor the coffee good. I bought a pumpkin maple latte and it tastes like BBQ Pringles:(
Craft Beer Brewed & Served, see my picture (28 Oct). - (single hop) XPA 5.6abv pretty good, slight hop on the nose very low bitter on the back end 12oz(?) (served in incorrect style tulip glass, a decent Pale a bit too lite for me) ; Ofest 5.5abv good, slight malt on the nose and very low on the back end 2oz(taster) (too lite for an O-Marzen but probably truer to what's served in Munich) ; Hazy IPA 7.3abv pretty good, slight fruit forward slight bitter on the back end 12oz(?) (served in incorrect style tulip glass, a decent Hazy but for this ABV there should be more) - no signage for beer but brewing on a pickup truck , outdoor seating , good wifi , small food menu , some games and books available , dedicated parking , serving sizes prices are not clearly listed , 11 beer type things on tap today (3 are adjunct inspired malt beverages, no ABV above 7.5) , (service is only at the register, they can't be bothered with the rest of the counter) ,
Great place, wonderful atmosphere stopped in because they advertised now serving beer. Have been in the beer game for 6 months slowly building their beer reputation but wonderful beers. Stop in this place has it going on you won't be disappointed.
Great space to drink coffee and connect with friends/community. I had an excellent seasonal latte and sat with friends in the back space for about 90 minutes.
I was very disappointed with the service. They poured coffee into a glass instead of a mug, and the table was dirty and I cleaned it myself. I will never come here again.
