Not only is the inside so cute but the coffee was really good! And the baristas were supper knowledgeable!!
One of my favorite places for coffee in Knoxville! We absolutely love going here and the coffee is top-notch. The owners really take coffee seriously and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to where beans are grown and how they are roasted--and it's clearly evident in the quality of their coffee. They offer a variety of coffee options--various methods for pour-overs, latte, cappuccino, macchiato--as well as non-coffee alternatives (including chai, matcha, an excellent tea collection, and rotating seasonal drinks). The location is great--it's just on the edge of campus and easily accessible. Although it's a popular spot for students, you can usually find a place to sit! It's super cozy and has a great atmosphere. Plus, they have seating outside as well (we usually bring our dogs along and enjoy our coffee outside with them). And, the food is amazing! They offer a variety of delicious sweet and savory baked goods and to be honest, you can't go wrong with any of them. We love Capybara and it's one of those special places that we bring all of our friends and family to as well. Out of all the coffee shops across Knoxville, Capybara Coffee is easily one of the best and makes high-quality espresso drinks.
Me and my partner came here immediately upon opening in the morning. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had an oat milk latte and blueberry scone, both of which were delicious. My partner had a chai latte and chocolate chip muffin, both of which were amazing. The cafe had a laid back decor. Perfect to chill for a while with friends, or get some work done. Overall, no complaints. :)
Superb curation and prep - they even select micro lots and provide in house pour overs. Wish they were open Sundays too.
I ordered lavender latter with half the syrup and loved it! That barista was really nice ♥️
Great place to hangout. Relaxing atmosphere to study. Drinks are delicious. I had a hot chocolate. My daughter had a white chocolate macadamia oat milk. I also got a chocolate muffin.. Great coffee shop away from a lot of noise. Recommend.
Capybara is a very pleasant environment for anyone. The staff was pleasant and quick. The coffee was rich and tasty. There are many places to sit. The staff also keep the establishment very clean by when customers left they clean each table off thoroughly. There is only street parking that I found. Great place to take a breach from classes if near university commons and study while drinking a coffee. There is free Wi-Fi.
Best coffee shop in Knoxville.
I started going to Capybara Coffee in November of 2021 and have been a regular ever since. The staff is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. They are the best staff l've ever met at a coffee shop, or anywhere for that matter. The coffee is also the best coffee l've ever had! I've been to many many coffee shops around Knoxville, and even places like Hilton Head and other cities and nothing compares at all to Capybara Coffee. If I could give it six stars I would!
The lavender vanilla honey latte was the best I've ever had! Can't wait to stop by again on my next visit to Knoxville!
My favorite coffee shop in Knoxville! Their drinks are so high quality, and they really know their stuff :) The baked goods are from VG's bakery, and they always hit the spot. Capybara goes above and beyond to create amazing drinks and a great atmosphere for studying, reading, chatting with friends, meeting up with someone, the list goes on.

Not much of a coffee drinker but the staff helped me with a great choice and it was delicious and way better priced than what Starbucks would have charged me for a drink that didn't even taste as good as what I got here! I will be back and learning more!

Very good little coffee shop :) I loved their matcha latte with almond milk and my boyfriend loved the iced coffee 10/10 My boyfriend got a ham and cheese pastry while I got a blueberry muffin Very filling and good prices
One of my favorite spots in Knoxville. They make wonderful speciality lattes and mochas. My latest obsession is their wildberry latte. I love their rewards system and it makes me eager to keep coming back. The only eh feeling I have is how their whipped cream is weirdly oily?
Extremely friendly, best prices and the best tasting black iced tea with lavender I’ve had yet! Looks very calm and modern inside has a great esthetic vibe to it! Every inch of this coffee shop seems so well thought out!
