Hand down the best coffee shop in knoxville. ALWAYS my go too. Calm cozy warm environment. FANTASTIC coffee. If your looking for a locally owned coffee shop CHOOSE THIS ONE!! ❤️☕️

Great spot to grab a brew to go or sit and get some work done. Free wifi, tasty snacks, and great coffee. A lot of local sourced options. Big windows make the space feel open and airy. Lots of outlets to charge devices. I tried the mushroom coffee and it was definitely different. Not real coffee but it had an earthy flavor.

Heavenly. Coffee was very good and atmosphere was very nice on Sunday morning sipping a cappuccino to hymns. Doesn't get much better than that.

Wish there were more tables. It has an open window area that looked super cool. I will definitely be coming back!

This is the cutest coffee shop of old city! I have been coming here for years! I love this place for the articulately old city atmosphere, the amazing staff, and the many flavors that change on the season. I always get to try something new when I come here, but it’s almost always a different flavored latte. A little more on the pricey side, but it’s a good price for the quality and quantity. The service is quick, and it’s a great place to do your work. They also are dog friendly!

That hickory cold brew changed my life. Gotta cut it with something if you don't want your face going numb. I went with oat milk. Will likely fly back to Knoxville at some point just for this coffee.

Went for an art show and loved the atmosphere and tea selection. The exposed brick is beautiful!

Love the coffee, and is a great place to sit and relax with friends. Really need to extend their hours tho. LOTS of potential customers can make it in by 7

Awaken is a great coffee shop. The staff got the job done marking the coffee delicious. It is a dark environment and was pleasant to get work done. There is no designated parking for the building but there’s street parking and paid parking nearby.

First time there. Nearby parking is all pay lot or metered. The building is old and beautiful! Greeted immediately upon entry. Baristas were very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of cute original drink flavored options written on a chalkboard at entry. I tried the hot honey vanilla latte. Delicious! $5.41 for a 12oz (incl. tax). Music was audible but not obnoxiously loud. Lighting was nice. Enough seating for several small groups of people. The bathroom needs a key and is shared with other business in the building.

Came in and ordered 2 drinks from the menu, should be easy enough. Downtown for my sons scout event, thought you could pop in and get a coffee drink in under 30 freaking minutes. Walking downtown with my kids cub scout pack and theyre 2 blocks away now and i missed most of it WAITING FOR COFFEE....then to be told after almost 40 mins they dont have what they need to make one of the drinks. Definitely never be back here. Zero work ethic. Unless you have 2 hours to kill dont bother

Americana coffee is not the best. Try something else and good luck.

Really enjoyed this coffee shop. It is a beautiful building and very large for a standard coffee shop. It feels like a community gathering spot more than a standard Starbucks.
