I have been coming to Rock City for well over a decade and lately I have seen it go through a steady decline. Normally in the past when I would order a drink, it would be made fast and efficiently. Now when I order it takes over 15 minutes to get one drink made during a lull when no one else is in line. It's really disappointing to see a coffee shop that used to be my favorite, becoming a coffee shop I tend to avoid now.
We enjoyed dark roasted coffee and scones in the while waiting for vendors to finish setting up at the Farmers Mkt. Spouse had a Ginger Lemon scone which she described as Fantabulous. I had a blueberry scone. I liked the almost biscuit like texture but had a difficult time sensing any blueberry flavor from the tiny, dried up berries that they used. The coffee was so good that we bought a bag of beans on the way out. We very rarely do that.
Great employee owned business. Lotsa menu choices and a great vib.
I love this place. I go almost every weekend weather it's to get a baked food or lunch. The place has a nice community of people, it feels tight knit and humble. I love this place!
Such good coffee!! Some of the best around! The customer service was great and there is plenty of space to meet up with some friends.
The best coffee and very friendly staff.
I recommend the blueberry scone, and the hot chocolate is made with milk instead of water.
Great breakfast burritos 🌯
Hot chocolate tastes like dog water, food is fairly good.
Amazing space for a bite, drink, or community. Staff are fantastic and their coffee is the best. Plus Hello Hello in the back is a wonderful little book shop.
A lovely morning at the Second Read
We were 12 minutes early arriving at this restaurant standing in cold outside we had at-least 50 or more of are lineman arriving we had not much options we called twice to tell them we were coming the workers watched us stand in cold never asked or offered us to come in for coffee or warmth that we made sure they had during holidays with there families. As we sacrificed time away from ares this has to be one of the rudest and unprofessional establishments I’ve encountered in my 32 years as a union worker and consumer of private owned businesses. I would strongly recommend that no person who is a relief worker support there business.
Cute coffee shop on the main stretch of Rockland. They serve breakfast and lunch food in addition to drinks, and have a good amount of indoor seating. I got a Golden Milk latte which was SO good! Service was great as well. Highly recommend!
Definitely enjoy coming in for coffee and catching up with friends. Plenty of seating inside.
Rock City rocks! The gentlemen who work there are pros in hospitality. I drive for 3 hrs from another state just to experience their customer service whenever I get a chance. Please never change!
Employee owned and super friendly, a great breakfast spot.
Cool spot. Love that it's employee owned too. I'm not in town often, but I'll go back when I am
Nice place to get a cup of coffee and chat with a friend. Cozy local cafe.
Rude. Slow service. Took over a half an hour for one sandwich and when I asked about it they were incredibly harsh for me asking about it. Sandwich was good but not worth it. Better places in town.
Awesome friendly staff, great food for a place known for coffee, and out of this world coffee. Come the right time of year and you can get espresso milkshakes to boot.
