I really want to like this place. The food isn't that great, but that's fine, it's a coffee shop. The iced coffee is good, but the hot coffee seems to always be luke warm at best which really bums me out.
My Americano = burned. My daughter’s London fog = not made with steamed milk first. My daughter had to tell her how to make it, then overheard the manager say to the drink person (not calling her a barista yet) that my daughter didn’t know what she’s talking about. Is that because my daughter is a different nationality? My daughter IS a barista and a good one. My wife’s chocolate mocha is cool not hot. She said “whole milk & and the drink person asked her if that meant 2%. You can’t make this up.
Just ordered a iced caramel macchiato, was delicious. Recommend!!
Such a great place to go study, get work done and meet with friends and business associates! Coffee is always delicious aswell!
Basic coffee shop. Coffee was ok. Environment was nice for hanging, meeting and working.
Took my niece here for the first time. She is 10 years old and loved it!! Always great service and great food. Thank you.
First off, amazing coffee; I will stop here anytime I am in the Des Moines area! Secondly, the staff are lovely and are helpful when you have questions. I highly recommend the Sweet Georgia Brown Iced with an extra shot and oat milk. My wife gets the Butterscotch Latter and enjoys that as well.
Nice to have a sitting option with a gas station.
I’ll never get over how inexpensive it is here. They make great chai and they don’t care if you hang out and work
This smokey row location is very nice! It's never super crowded and there are always open tables. The associates assist quickly and efficiently and the lady working today was very kind and checked in on me several times.
Coffee and food is usually pretty spot on. Sometimes they're really slow and sometimes they mess up my drink, but they're humans too. Overall, a great coffee shop with good local coffee and they have a pretty good rewards setup. Their mobile app never works (at any location) so that would be my one suggestion for improvement.
I usually get a vanilla Italian soda with cream...
My son and I grabbed some quick breakfast food and the service was phenomenal! The medium roast coffee is perfect, and the muffins are fantastic! We will be back!
Ordered a couple Java Freeze drinks but when we got them they were liquid and watery,not thick like they are supposed to be. It also took a while to get our drinks. We have had good drinks from here before but these were not worth the $12-13 we paid for them.

This is the kind of place I really WANT to love. But there are a lot of things that just aren’t being done well. To start with the positive, I do love their coffee! I keep coming back for the iced Sweet Georgia Brown. The Cafe Borgia is also good, though I think would probably be best as a hot drink because of the orange peel shavings. Things that I’m not loving are the service in the drive thru. They are very short with you. Dining in is better service however any food items take a very long time to come out. I was also very disappointed by their “beloved” chicken pot pie biscuits. It took a long time to come out and I was the only dine in customer they were making something for. It was cold when I got it and had a piece of plastic packaging in the food. I can only presume they made it from a frozen packet which is disappointing for something they say on their menu is something “everyone likes”. I would recommend coming for the coffee, but not the food.
What a GREAT Coffee Shop find!!! We really enjoyed the caramel cold brew & ice white mocha with vanilla cold foam to top them off! We will be back!!
Amazing place , I just love the sweet Georgia brown breve with an xtra shot & whip cream. My advice? Get it in a medium! Just love me some Tracy!
Wish I could give 0 stars! This location just doesn’t live up to its sister locations. Went through the drive though and was rushed even though I was the only person in line, at 5 pm, so it’s not like they were closing soon. After rude costumer service they had the audacity to ask for a tip at the window, I’ve NEVER been asked that at any drive through and I tip often and generously. I barely wanted to pay the price of the the 2 drinks and a sandwich I bought after waiting 15 minutes and a different employee at the window came out every time, so I know they were not short-staffed. Would not recommend this location.
Worst $20 I’ve spent… EVER. The lady taking our order, “Audrey”, was extremely rude and I felt very rushed. i asked her to hold for a moment while i looked at the menu and she gave me literally 5 seconds before asking what i wanted again. I repeatedly told her one moment and she kept pushing. I don’t know about you but i cannot focus while someone is rushing me to make a decision and having to stop reading to tell them to hold on a second. Disrespectful. If her job is such an inconvenience and so annoying to her, maybe she shouldn’t work there. There were no cars at all beside me and it took them almost 15 minutes to make 2 cold drinks drinks and a cold sandwich which wasn’t sliced at all and missing ingredients. This business has no customer service standards, disrespectful staff, and makes up business hours as they go, the close when they want. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION.
