We had so much fun at breakfast at the PerKup Cafe. The food was excellent but the service was outstanding.
Two of our three orders had foreign objects in them... a toothpick in the hashbrowns and a big hair in the other hashbrowns...
This non assuming restaurant is located in a strip mall. The breakfast I ordered was delicious. The eggs were exactly as ordered, the sausage patty was flavorful but likely frozen from a box. The bacon was crispy and delightfully great tasting. Normally the coffee in a diner is the "usual" however I could detect a light nutty flavor. My cup was never empty. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quick breakfast with reasonable portions.
Worst food, they use burnt oil for cooking. Hash browns were terrible as well. We could smell burnt oil from food. My wife has been feeling sick since we had breakfast this morning and thrown up couple of times. Will never ever visit.
I had an omelet with ham, onion and cheese with a side of hashbrowns. There was so much onion in the omelet and very little ham, the hashbrowns were more like mashed potatoes, and for the small portion it was they charged 4.99 for it. My wife had 2 eggs over easy and they were more over hard than easy, very little of the yoke was left uncooked. We were not asked of we wanted refills for our drinks. And our bill was just shy of 50.00. We learned that ownership changed, so we talked to the owner and he did not give two shots about our concerns with our food. We loved the place under the old management, and use to tell everyone to go eat here. Needless to say we will make sure NO ONE we know will ever spend there money here again!!!
This used to be one of our favorite places. But now food is just average. The prices have gone way up and they charge for condiments like mayo or ranch. Disappointed.
Classic breakfast cafe and all that that brings. The coffee is good, service is fast, the decor is quaint and the food is unremarkable. There may be better places but there are certainly many worse places to meet for breakfast.
One of our favorite spots for breakfast! Food is great and the service is always friendly and efficient.
Excellent food! And great service!
Amazing!!!! My New Go To Place!!! Perkins Ihops has NOTHING on THIS PLACE 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯!!!
Smaller place, but got right in. Our waitress was amazing and friendly. Everyone's food was really good and prices super reasonable.
Best breakfast in the metro. Better than Waveland and easier/quicker to get in. Personal pick is Jake with bacon, add jalapeños, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you’ve never had their strawberry stuffed French toast, you haven’t had a complete visit. This place is a lit spot hitter (aka legitimately satisfying).
This used to be really good. Now worn and poorly maintained. Food is of lesser quality than before, coffee was cheapened since last visit. Wife and I both said nope, never again. A weak 3 at best.
Fast and friendly service, food was good but portion of hash browns could have been larger.
This used to be my favorite place but I just went there today and their prices have almost doubled. I was shocked. $20 for a regular omelette, one piece of toast and hashbrowns. The food is good but not that outstanding. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Charming Cafe that provides simple but good breakfast food to specifically retired customers.. closes at 2pm but opens early. Servers very pleasant and courteous, prices average. Orders come timely.
Really nice, fresh, yummy food. We recommend paying the extra $1.50 for the homemade strawberry jelly.
Excellent pancakes, buttery and delicious! Service is always quick and polite, the pricing is very affordable. My only bad thing is that it’s a smaller place so harder to bring groups but that’s part of what makes this place a charming hole in the wall! I’ve been twice this weekend and will be returning soon!
Great food super friendly staff. Nothing too fancy but very good. The biscuits were great!
The food is fantastic. I love this little breakfast cafe.
