I couldn't live this place more, the staff is so knowledgeable on their drinks and the tea flavors. And they are always attentive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Delicious coffee. Friendly staff and the remodel is beautiful! A bit chilly inside by the windows but such a great place to chat with friends over warm drinks:)

I came in asking about a seasonal specialty drink that was made at another location. The ladies here looked up the other shop and told me they'd try to remake it! Their above and beyond made my day!
Good spot if you want to sit outside. Not much space to sit inside, no drive thru.

Vibe- Nice coffee shop in West Des Moines, IA! Looks like a good spot to study, get work done, or just hang out with friends! They sell coffee (of course) and they also have some bites to eat as well. They have a lot of different coffee blends in shop for sell too. Customer service- Great! I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and the girls that were working were polite. Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha tea latte with oatmilk and some vanilla. It was tasty. Parking- There’s a good amount of spots in the shopping center the shop is located in.

Great coffee and fun speciality drinks. Comfy patio area too. Not a great place to get work done though - the baristas have been having conversations at full volume the last few times I’ve been here.
This location needs to start consistently pulling fresh espresso shots for customer's drinks and stop using old oxidized espresso that has sat out! Manager needs to review camera's and see which of their employee's are the bigger culprits of this habit because it's been going on for years. Friedrich's coffee is amazing but only when you take the time to fire up the espresso machine and pull fresh shots. Customers can taste the difference and the way this location is set up, we can clearly hear and see that you haven't used fresh espresso and are pouring from either left over or pre-pulled espresso that was sitting there. Please make the drinks the way you would expect them for yourself or find a new job, it's just rude and lazy.

Fresh coffee, bright atmosphere, friendly staff. They were very chipper and went out of their way to make sure my order was correct.
Not only can you get great coffee here but the also sell the best soy candles!
I love this place. I have been going here for over 20 years. The Java Classic, Homefire Espresso, their specials every month. Love the fact that all three of these stores have different specials. It lets me visit all three. We love the community of 42nd street, the homey feeling of 86th street, and the business structure of 22nd street. I rate 86th street, followed by 42nd street and lastly 22nd street.

Friedrich has the best Latte. We used to go here every weekend, sometimes even during weekdays in the evenings when we lived in West Des Moines for a year in 2013. I miss their amazing coffee and the whole ambience of the place. For me and my husband this place will always hold a special place in our hearts!
Great local coffee company. Friendly service and a good selection off beans. Also, inside and outside seating for enjoying their products on site.
