As someone who doesn’t go to Uptown much, but having lived in Bloomington for 25+ years, I cannot believe I just checked this place out last year (2022)! So many yummy items on the menu and fresh baked goods to choose from; not to mention the variety of teas & coffee available! I’ve always been a tea lover, & was very pleased with the teas I tried. The atmosphere is lovely, similar to a busy diner. With their food, drinks, & a friend with great conversation; this is a great place to relax & enjoy your day. Always great service from all the employees as well. Highly recommend checking it out!
I always enjoy being here. Lot's of delicious food options and I love the open space
If you ever want great food and pastry Coffeehouse and Deli do not disappoint.
I’m very disappointed in my experience at Coffeehouse today. I ordered a Thai tea and when I received my order I knew that it wasn’t a Thai tea. For those of you who haven’t had a Thai tea before, it’s a light orange color. My drink was milky brown and I sipped it and it was clearly coffee. I politely asked if this was a Thai tea to one of the workers and the lady who messed up my order whipped around and said yes that is a Thai tea. Then she proceeded to stare me down until I left the store. I’ve had the Thai tea from there 3 times before so I know that it is orange there as well and what it tastes like. I can vouch that I was polite or downright timid because I’m just a little college girl and confrontation makes me wanna die.
I called there to ask a couple questions. Whoever answered the phone said she did not have time to answer any questions and hung up the phone. Extremely rude. If you are that busy why did you answer the phone in the first place?
Not a friendly faces service was ok need to improve front service and to much focus on coffee and tea
Can not say enough good about this place. Super welcoming environment and a great place to get some homework done. Affordable food and drink with friendly staff and lots of seating options. Absolutely stop by the coffeehouse <3
Fairly disappointed in the experience. Area is really cute and we didn't have to wait to order at all, and my coffee came out pretty quickly, and the pricese were fair. They have vegan and gluten free food options. But the cappucino I ordered tasted more like a watered down latte than the dry espresso flavor of a cappucino. My fiancés breakfast burrito was just eggs and rice in a tortilla. Pretty bland food and bland coffee.
Went with my kid and vegan parents after visiting the Children's Museum. We had a very good experience. My parents had plenty of vegan and gluten free options. My kid tried the oatmeal pancakes and didn't like them (different texture that regular flour). She enjoyed eating our food though and we enjoyed her pancakes. I had the breakfast burrito which was very good.
had a couple pieces of desserts it was delicious and yummy 😋 also had HOT CHOCOLATE 🍫🫕 very GOOD 👍👍
This restaurant is charming and has decent food, so-so coffee, and the slowest service ever 😑. I’ve been coming here periodically for years and it has always taken forever to get your food. I’ve waited for as long as 50 minutes!
nice location and service...very limited non coffee and food options
Decent place to meet for work or study. Vegetarian food options, though the kitchen has specific hours.
Stop by for coffee early morning. Got the dripped coffee which is super hot. Good for the cold weather outside. Spacious and bright. Good for studying.
Delicious little snack before we caught our train. We had a coffee, hot chocolate, and a couple pastries. Everything was great. Service was friendly and quick.
French toast was horrendous and the quesadilla tasted fishy they also have no non vegan options take your money and go somewhere else
This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. The place was nice and our server was very lovely and helpful while we ordered. When our food arrived, however, things went south. We had 2 pancakes, a breakfast burrito, bacon, ham, a breakfast hash bowl, and applesauce, along with two coffees. All of our food was vegan and the coffees were quite delicious. The pancakes were doable but the vegan bacon and ham were so hard that it was impossible to chew. It was dry and hard to the point of being sharp. The breakfast hash bowl was flavorless and extremely undercooked. The carrots made an audible crunch noise, at one point I had to spit out an artichoke heart due to the amount of oil that filled my mouth as I bit into it. $46 on food that was less that mediocre to put it kindly. I don't recommend the food.
Coffee was Ok. Food was cold when it arrived. 4 tables with multiple diners received food before I did. Then I needed to ask about mine….another table served, then me. I ordered French toast. Honestly, quite disappointed….and, no, I did not say anything while I was there, as there was a huge line to order. Oh, and it was so cold I kept my coat on……and most others did too.
The remodel is beautiful! Coffee and food are always great. I recommend the carafe of coffee (best coffee deal in town) and the french toast.
We had breakfast on a Sunday morning. They have a wonderful vegan/vegetarian selection. My bf didn't even notice he wasn't eating meat! The portions are not huge like a lot of places. Their ingredients are higher quality than other local restaurants. I would definitely recommend them. I've never been disappointed.
