Come for the Italian dinners when you can. Incredible!! I think this is one of the most overlooked gems in the valley!
Wonderful staff! Very friendly and hospitable. My favorite Sat morning place breakfast is great and filling!
I went here for the Friday/Saturday Italian dinner night. Make a reservation as they have limited tables. It’s an amazing cozy Italian dinner place. We ordered a vegetarian lasagna and chicken piccata with side of tomato soup and gnocchi soup. The soups were amazing both of them. Vegetarian lasagna was filled with a lot veggies right amount of cheese and veggies the flavors were amazing. Chicken piccata the chicken was amazing right amount of breading very light pasta dish. Service is amazing everyone were very nice and helpful. I would recommend anyone who is looking for homemade Italian food to give a try everyone seems very friendly and great food.
The food here is delicious. Amazing food, fantastic ambiance, definitely our favorite Italian place.
We have been coming here for about 7 years for breakfast. Hate giving a review, because it is kind of a little secret, but it isn't fair to not share. They have the best coffee out if anywhere in Boise, Meridian, or Eagle, and I love the biscuits and gravy.
Small place, limited seating and parking is a free for all. We went on a Sunday at 1:30 pm The crowd was starting to thin out. We sat right down and ordered quickly and food was out promptly. Tasted good and the price was about average.
Great family atmosphere, delicious wine and food. I highly recommend!
We picked up some breakfast on our way to the airport wished we had come here earlier it was very good!
This is the best and most authentic Italian restaurant we've been to state side. The family that owns and works the restaurant is fron Naples, they are simply amazing! We always make reservations for Italian night because they fill up. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The Orecchiette Boscaiola is one of our favs! The kids love the Lasagna and gnocchi too! Don't forget to try the fresh made tiramisu and the baba al marscapone!
Stopped in for an outdoor dining experience this past Saturday evening. We didn't realize that it was Italian dinner night, and how lucky we were. The owners, Gianni and Jenny were so friendly and since it was just 5:30pm, talked with us and provided recommendations based on what we were in the mood for... My wife had the gnocchi with bolognese, plus a ceasar salad. I had the oreccheitte boscaiola. plus a cup of pasta e fagioli. The service and the food was absolutely perfect. You can taste the passion that comes through the expertly prepared entrees. They don't over complicate the food, just simple fresh ingredients, combined at the appropriate ratios and cooked right. We topped the meal with a shared tiramisu... The lady fingers were not soggy and the espresso flavor was prominent, without a hint of bitterness... Really great desert. Bottom line... "The Wild west home of momma Italia" is a mouthful, but once you've eaten here, you don't need to remember the name, just how to get here, and often. Really wonderful service and food. ps. Fair warning, the Italian food is only served two nights a week, Friday and Saturday nights, so be sure to make a reservation.
Was ignored for the first 10 min we were there while 2 other people were waited on , finally got our drinks after 15 min the the waitress proceeded to wait on the couple that came in after us. Waited for 1 hr for a BLT we were going to share while customer after us ate and left. Finally went inside to pay for the beers and leave but they stuck us with the sandwich anyway. The bread was a solid crouton we could not eat and the fries were burnt and cold! Expensive trash!!! Terrible service and cook!
Had an enjoyable meal on the patio on a beautiful October evening. Across our table we had the zucchini noodle pasta, chicken alfredo, pepperoni pizza, and the four cheese ravioli. We also got a hot cocoa, a pumpkin Chai, eggnog latte and a lemon Coco frizzy. Excellent all around. The family that runs the restaurant is very pleasant and want you to have a good experience. Highly recommend you try for yourself. I still need to go back for their breakfast on a different trip but their pastries in the counter looked delicious. We don't go out to eat a lot, but try to frequent places that have good food and exceptional staff. This is that kind of place. They just treat you like family. My whole family loves coming here which is saying something because we have a few picky eaters. If you have not been, I highly recommend you do.
Excellent service, large portions and amazing welcoming atmosphere! Must be a family run establishment! Highly recommend
I've been wanting to experience this place for a very long time, and it finally happened! On a very hot day, with extended family (as any good Italian meal requires), we entered and enjoyed each moment. We never felt rushed or ignored. Each bite was delicious. Each dish, homemade. Each smile, authentic. Though the temperature was very warm (not sure if the air conditioning just doesn't work well or it was just unable to keep up with the weather), the family atmosphere and conversation was even warmer. Thanks for the memories. We'll be back!
It's always a treat to have a dinner out at a great family run Italian restaurant and Mamma's is no exception. I had the special which was one of Gramma's original recipes and it was terrific. The neighborhood hospitality is a rare treat too!
service was really good, everyone made you feel really comfortable. the food was also very yummy.
Good service. Decent food. Average amenities. Slightly pricey with smaller sized portions.
Last Wednesday a bunch of us, like 12, met for coffee/lunch. Wild West was most accommodating, they set up several tables outside, so that we could all be together. Some of us had pastries and some had lunch. I didn’t hear any complaints. This is when we learned of Italian night. Some of the original group and our husbands had dinner tonight at Wild West’s Italian night. Everything was wonderful from the food to the service. I highly recommend Wild West and their wide variety of menu items. We will be going back for coffee/lunch and dinner. (I inadvertently left my credit card and immediately got a call advising they had it🤪 - that was very much appreciated)
My neighbors and I went a couple weeks ago and it took forever to get our food. We were told that they were down a cook. And the portion size was very small. Not what I'm used to from this restaurant. Hopefully they get back on track.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our son's wedding party dinner at MaMa Italia. It was everything we could have hoped for plus! Excellent food, superb personalized service, all details covered, and nobody went home hungry! We highly recommend MaMa Italia for dinner or parties!!! The Seidlitz's
