We had an incredible tour of the coffee farm with the HCM staff! Chelsea, Rachel, and Lilo were super enthusiastic and friendly. They led us around the beautiful farm to see the coffee trees. We were also joined by the coffee farmers Tom and Tim, who shared their expert knowledge of the farm. We learned about the coffee production process, and got to see and taste ripe coffee cherries, as well as a number of other fresh farm fruits. The tour ended with a sampling of the coffees produced on the farm. The flavored coffees are divine, especially the pineapple coffee! Hilo Coffee Mill staff no ka 'oi!
We love the Farmers Market on Saturday 😊
Coffee was sooo smooth, the chickens were engaging, and the sign that told you where to park was very small. There was also an elderly cat! Meow!
Friendly barista, laying hens on the patio, and a sweet loud cat that begs to be petted are all EXTRA with their strong espresso drinks 🙌🏽
Best coffee I've ever had!!! Hands down . Will be ordering online as soon as I get back home.
The Hilo Coffee Mill tour is a must-do if you're staying on the big island. The coffee farm itself is on 24 acres, but has a quiet and calm feel to it - not at all crowded and everyone is incredibly friendly. The tour was just Jeanette (the owner), my husband, and myself. She showed us the roasting room, the drying area, the coffee plants, and some special stops along the way. At the end, you get an opportunity to taste test some different coffees in their store, where they also have a full cafe set up if you'd prefer to just grab a cup and go. We ended up buying several bags to take home as well, which they were nice enough to ship! Jeanette's passion for coffee is evident in what she does, and she goes above and beyond to provide you with a great experience!
Yummy coffee, cute location, and friendly, welcoming staff. I send the beans around the world as gifts and they never disappoint. Mahalos!
Amazing coffee and farmers market. The owner is so friendly and informative. Definitely worth visiting!!!!!
Really enjoyed visiting here. Jeannette and her staff are lovely and they have whole bean coffee for purchase and an espresso bar, both delicious. A very charming atmosphere, plus they have a farmers market on Saturday! The owners are obviously very passionate about what they do, you'll have a lovely time visiting Hilo Coffee Mill
Fantastic service and amazing coffee!
Loved the service ..Rachel made us all feel so welcome n our drinks were perfectly made with love .. would come back again n recommend this place to many more to go n enjoy
Great staff, fantastic product & got to view roasting room.
The blueberry muffin is a bliss here I must say!
Excellent local coffee, local gifts, on sight farmer’s market (at least when we were there) and the friendliest service. Highest recommendation if you want some good local coffee.
Coffee here is really good. Thanks Rachel for many helpful tips on coffee and local places!
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful farm tour with Jeanette, the owner. She explained to us the entire coffee making process and showed us their roasting facilities. Next, we went out to. The farm and saw the drying room and trees. We got to sample some of the wild fruit and even a coffee cherry. We finished off trying a couple of their roast! Things to note are it appears the website doesn't send everyone their confirmation email after purchasing a tour. In addition, you will be on a farm and in an area that gets a lot of rain so best to wear closed toe shoes and potentially long pants. The store will shop you coffee beans so you don't need to worry about over filling your luggage. Lastly, there are chickens running around. Overall it was a wonderful tour and we wish we could have been in town on Saturday to see their weekly farmers market!
They are a coffee roaster. They have a good selection of Hawaiian coffee and a good place to buy a cup of coffee or latte. Local roasted beans.
Not as much inventory as I expected, but enough for my needs.
Googled for a local roaster for my morning coffee. Arrived in time for the Saturday morning Farmers Market and scored a selection of amazing French pastries to go with my coffee (timing is important as the pastries were selling fast!). Fab chat with one of the Coffee Mill owners before grabbing that essential coffee.
Flavor of the month was amazing! The beans smell and taste delicious! Will have such a great month waking up to this coffee !! Also, loved the staff!
