I got an iced honey latte and an acai bowl and both were delicious! The large bowl was a great value and filled me up. Would definitely recommend checking this spot out while in Kona!
Oh! My! Goodness! Gracious!!! So delicious! So many choices! Cutest little place!! As with any of the outdoor dining areas we were joined by the cutest little gecko 🦎!! We love coming to Kona Wave Cafe and will definitely be going back on our next visit to Kona!!! Keep up the great work!!! My mouth is watering thinking about our next visit!!! 🤤 🍨☀️🥰
Açaí bowls were overly sweet and not a great texture. Some of the fruit was on the edge of turning bad. The ambiance is terrible and the place is very run down. Will not be going back
Our açaí bowls and lattes were absolutely amazing. Staff were very friendly as well. Definitely recommend this place.
We got the Kona Wave bowl and it definitely surpassed our expectations! The layered granola was such a pleasant surprise as most places are stingy with the granola. The fruit was fresh and sweet and complimented the other toppings super well. Definitely one of the best açai bowls we have had on our trip to both the big island and oahu!

This açaí bowl was ok. Definitely on the slightly sweeter side than our previous açaí we had on the island. It felt like it was handed to us already pretty melted but maybe that’s just the Kona sun
I got the Chocolate Mac Nut Frappe and it was one of the best coffees I have ever had! I would book a flight just for that coffee alone, it was that DELICIOUS !
One of the best Açaí Bowls I’ve ever had. Came here almost every morning. Great coffee as well! The bowls are beautiful too. Almost makes you feel bad having to eat it
The açai bowl was just okay and you have to pay for parking. Wouldn’t recommend heading there if it is just for a bowl
Really yummy! Big portion size too! Parking around here is tough cause it’s on a busy street.
Acai bowls are on point. Very busy and took about 15 mins but worth the wait if you're not in a rush. Enjoy the ocean and the weather with a nice bowl of cold fresh fruit acai!
Hidden in a small plaza. But great açaí bowls! I’m surprised by the lack of açaí bowl joints around Kona. This offers a great option. A couple of tables outside (so don’t count on getting a table during peak hours). The little souvenir store outside Kona Wave Cafe sold Merchandise on the cheaper side compared to others too.
Very solid açai bowls, kind staff, they wrapped up the bowls carefully when I was one person carrying four out.
Not really worth the price. Others around town are better quality and better value.
Tried out this place on my second last day of my trip to Hawaii and I only wish I had found it sooner. This was the 2nd bowl I had on the trip and it was fantastic. Traditional açaí bowl that tasted great. The fruit was on top and granola in the middle which helped with spreading and is always preferred. Prices were really fair with a 24 ounce bowl coming out to $14 and some change. The service was also really quick. With 4 people in line ahead of me I still ended up in and out in about 10 minutes. While I didn’t plan on getting Hawaiian shaved ice here I will certainly be returning for this. The shaved ice was huge and was pretty cheap for as much as you get. This place is the perfect stop for your cold sweet treat and very fair prices. 100% recommend.
