Unbelievably expensive. Sandwich and sparkling water.. $20.
The convenience of this place is great and I have no complaints about the service. It's just totally cost prohibitive to get food and drink here. On our trip up to Portland last August we spent something close to $40 on what amounted to a beer, a bottled drink and some pre-packaged snacks and then a tip is expected. SLO is already an expensive place to eat so much so that when I eat at AIRPORTS in other cities, I feel like I'm getting a good deal. Being a local here for 12 years it's already expensive enough to fly out of SBP, I just wish this city would cut me a break somewhere. All I'm asking is charge the normal SLO inflated prices outside the airport, not the SLO inflated prices plus another 25%. Do that and you'd likely generate a lot more repeat business. I now go out of my way to avoid the SBP cafe because there's no sense spending that much.
