Good coffee and food options. It has a very eccentric vibe with perfect cafe blend.
Usually very crowded and for good reason. Baked goods are the best. Coffee products are very good. They are opening a shop in Morro Bay. Yay.
A cute wanna-be Portland/LA place with kinfolk-like high-priced carefully styled goodies and no outlets, which is, in my opinion, a capitalist gesture to get people out fast—especially people without homes who might want to, you know, charge their phone to get social services or type up a resume to get a job—instead of creating a community environment of spaciousness. After waiting in my car until they opened at 6:30 to print an important document, I made my purchase and promptly asked for a refund when no outlets were found. My refund was granted—hence the 2 stars—albeit somewhat begrudgingly.
Great classic macchiato served in an adorable ceramic cup paired with sparkling water. Love all the pastries, especially Scout cookie and banana muffin.
Solid coffee shop with great coffee, vibes, pasties and merch! Went today and tried some stuff. Out of what we got, they had a great hot vanilla latte and hot chocolate. For real, the hot chocolate...get it. You won't regret it. The pastry selection was amazing. Tons of selection and they can heat the pastry . I loved the morning bun. Perfectly flaky, a slight chew to the dough, and tossed in a cinnamon sugar mix. Not too sweet in my opinion. The savory chives scone was also really good, I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go again. There are a ton of seats and the natural light from all the windows is beautiful. It gets really busy around 9am. So for those who want to work and chill, get there early. They open 6:30am-6:30pm.
Loved the vibe of this place- everyone was so helpful and welcoming! And the coffee is legit, not drowned in sugar as some places tend to do. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Scout is great. I like their coffee and there are a lot of good pastries. The ambiance is very nice with open space and some cool designs on the walls. A perfect place to study and drink coffee. They do play a lot of the same Indie songs which are groovy. However, I feel they could mix it up once in a while.
If you want a taste of HEAVEN, then order a Maple Whiskey Latte. An experience unlike anything else.
Service was good, and the scone I tried was delicious. This place doesn't have any sugar free options, but their regular coffee was smooth and fresh. Very busy while I was there (930-10am) mostly students from nearby CP.
Best coffee in slo. Phenomenal pastries!
First time here
Do you know how hard it is not to come every day when this cute shop with unique coffee flavors and fresh pastries taste so good??? -Sincerely, a frustrated and hungry SLO native
Great coffee and soft music playing.. gives you a feeling life is still good
Nice spot for coffee in SLO. More tables than most local coffee shop. They also had plenty of personnel to avoid a long line. The baked sweets looked delicious. Will def be back to Scout.
Really good coffee. Seasonal drinks are really good. Baked goods are delicious when they have them, but they usually run out late morning.
Love this coffee!!! Great espresso and lattes - European quality…
I can’t believe I’ve never taken the time to leave my favorite coffee shop a 5-star review! Scout is a breath of fresh air every time I step through its doors. Whether I’m downtown or at the Foothill location, I always feel welcomed and uplifted. Thank you for the good vibes and great coffee always ❤️
Nice shop. Espresso drinks not hot enough for me. Had a couple of croissants and wanted them warmed, were advised the microwave doesn't work. Seems like that should get resolved in a coffee shop. Staff very friendly.
Best coffee in SLO county, hands down. ☕️
Great customer service. However, the coffee products here were a bit weak for my taste. The coffee was not as acidic as I like it. I am sure this is all on me. I drink french roast espresso and expect that strength. My small quad latte was still a bit weak for my taste buds.
