We love this place! It is the place we bring family to eat when they visit us! On our birthdays they give you a slice of cake when you purchase a meal. The service is excellent! The food is awesome and the quality is the best! love

I always have the best time and everything is always great! The burgers are delicious, but anything you get will taste great.

A quaint restaurant with unique and nostalgic decor. There was a bit of a wait as we arrived right around check out time. The coffee and food was good. We ordered scrambled eggs and a veggie omelette. Our server was very nice even though he was very busy.

The food is average and very over priced. On a Thursday at 730, it was not busy however, the wait service was way too slow. Even to get the table acknowledged took a visit to the restaurant manager. It took way too long to get out food ordered and served. I was really surprised for a place with such a good reputation. I was a waitress for 5 years at Bobby McGees so I know what good service should be!

You come for the decor.. except the decor is in the other restaurant. The cakes were impressive looking, but I don't think I'd come back to The Copper Cafe and Bakery. It's not to say I had a bad time, but it seemed more like it was the price of admissions to gawk at the rest or the place. The food is basic diner food for haute cuisine prices. A better way to go experience the Madonna Inn is to have a cocktail.

We always ate here on family road trips in the 80s and 90s. I was wondering how well they had kept up the quality. It was terrific! We had dinner our first night and breakfast the morning we left. I wish we could have had more meals there, but we wanted to try some of the other restaurants in town, too.

This place has a history that's worth checking out. If you like the color pink, you will be in heaven here. Try the pink cake, don't worry because it's light and not overbearing. They used a whipped cream frosting, so my wife and I were able to eat it and not feel guilty about it. We enjoyed our breakfast here.

Unique place to enjoy a solid menu with some high quality steaks and alcoholic mixes. Pies portions are generous too.

Great experience today. For decades now, I've stopped by with various friends & family members in order to use the restroom while on our travels thru the area. The Madonna Inn is a blast from the past of a bygone Era that we are still able to experience. While on my various mini-tours I've pointed out the Copper Cafe & Bakery but have taken the time to sit down and try it. After today, I'll make more of a point of it. Very good food, friendly staff, awesome looking desserts. It was definitely worth taking the time out of our rush to our vacation spot to take a half hour to dine here. I'll start making a point of it now. I'll make it part of my trips going forward...

I writing to share my  unpleasant experience I just had at your restaurant. We walked in on a Sunday morning and saw that it was busy, which I expected and understood being put on a waiting list. I have been here for breakfast before and want my husband to enjoy your food as well. The young lady told us that it would be 30 mins. Which was fine with me, but I did see Themla (older lady) seat a young couple that didn't even check in.  Again, I understood. We are regulars at our local restaurant as well and get the special perks of being regulars, so I brushed it off. After over 30 mins, I checked in again. Thelma proceeded to seat a couple at the counter that wasn't on the wait list and just walked in. As I ask her about it, she tells me that she has to take care of her reservations first. I mentioned to her about the couple that she just sat and how I didn't get a choice of sitting at the counter. Her response was "Well we have to take care of our reservations first." I responded, "but they didn't have a reservations or were on the wait list  and she said, "well people are just taking there time. " I have lived on the Central Coast for over 15 years. I have come to your restaurant with visitors and other vocals many times before, but I have never felt so unwelcome as I did today. It felt as if she really didn't want us there. To be over looked twice was very hurtful and I will think twice before I visit again.

I always love stopping here on road trips and love it for the quirky and whimsical design. The food is reasonable and pretty tasty too. Generally a great stop. My continual gripe with this massively staffed restaurant is that the service is horrible. My most recent poor experience was enough to inspire a review. I usually stop in at the cafe bar for a sandwich on my way through. I had trouble finding a spot at the largely empty bar because used and dirty plates from prior guests sat piled at almost all of the open seats. It looked horrible and filthy and sat for literally my entire meal (pic attached). Once seated I was able to get the waitress’s attention pretty quick and, as usual, put my order in straight away knowing I was unlikely to get a second chance in a reasonable time. I saw my order come up but it sat at the expo line under a heat lamp for at least 10 minutes while staff. In a half hour my empty water was never refilled once… all while employees came in and out of the bar - witnessing the disgusting mess of plates and my empty cup… and then just moving on. It was amazing to witness such a lack of care for the *experience* of the Madonna. I think the Madonna is great, I love it, but the staff at the copper cafe bar is some of the worst trained I have experienced in any restaurant. Completely bad. Edit: this was around 8pm on Sunday, Feb 19.

What once was a fair value for breakfast, is no longer. For the most expensive breakfast in the area, we expect the best tasting food. Apparently, no more. Unfortunate, given the great community contributions the Madonna family has given to our community.

Been going here for 40+ years. Food is good.. not great, but you can't beat the service or atmosphere. Great place for seniors! Good simple food.

Steven, what a gem! The host offered us a table or diner service and added he had an excellent server at the coffee bar, and boy was he right. A perfect way to end our stay at the Inn, vibes off the charts. Thank you Steven! xoxo Mo and Frank

Service was ok, i did have to get my own coffee at one point, but over all service wasn't bad. Breakfast is average at best. The French toast is made with little effort, a little seasoning, such as cinnamon and nutmeg would go along way, using French bread, in instead of boring white bread would make a huge difference. The bacon...nothing worse the oven cooked floppy bacon! On the plus side, the eggs and hash browns were cooked to perfection!

We had reservations for 11:00 am. Arrived at 10;50, got seated at 11:25, and didn't get our meal served until 12:05. My meal was mediocre, at best, and the hash browns were downright gross. They tasted like old grease and had the consistency of mashed potatoes. I asked for eggs over-medium, and I got hard-fried eggs. Our waiter was kind enough to comp my meal, but I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.

Had the BBQ beef sandwich and it was delicious. Ordered a slice of the champagne cake to go and it is the best.
