I'm not a coffee person, but my wife and I like trying different coffee places. I'll usually try the chai where ever we go, and this one was one of the best I've had in a while. It was more on the spicy side, which I really liked. Combined with the old school Ricky Martin playing in the background, my wife and I had a lovely time.
Great honey bear latte. Just a touch of sweetness. The staff helped me choose as coffee is a new hobby for me. About the same prices as Dutch Brothers or Starbucks but better quality.
I really enjoy this coffee. Lattes and cappuccinos are absolutely delicious. It's always a bit of a wait to get your drink here, I just assume that is because the baristas pay attention to each drink.
I would come here often in the past as it was near where I lived. Recently came by after a long time and was met by extremely rude behavior from the owner. There seemed to be a new person working at the register who was so kind and patient and suggested I try a new drink. At the end of the encounter I can hear the owner being condescending to the new person publicly and basically telling him he should have upcharged me. I didn't want someone, who was obviously new, to be ridiculed when he was doing a wonderful job. I offered to pay whatever the difference was as it was in no way appropriate to treat worker in that way. I am disappointed as this was a much friendlier environment in the past.
I wasn't satisfied 100 % but I will come back! This is the first time I visited this cafe. It was around 8:30 in the morning and there were already some people waiting for orders in the cafe. There were some pastries in the showcase and I asked the staff if they are all the bakeries they had and she said yes so I ordered two croissants. (One with bacon, one with jalapeno). I also ordered a hot latte. Later on I found out they had other foods menu as sandwiches. I wish the staff told me when I asked. I would have ordered sandwiches instead of two croissants. I waited for a while and two croissants came out first. I kept them and waited but it took a while till I got my latte. Croissants became not too warm because of the wait. I wish they served bakeries and drink at the same time. I could see there were some people who had online orders so the staff was busy making drinks, but I really hope it gets improved so I didn't have to wait that way. The latte flavor was very good but I felt it wasn't hot enough. I just saw a lady who was waiting for her muffin and her drink. She also got her muffin first and had to wait for her drink. She was also asking the staff to re-heat her muffin and make her coffee extra hot after she received her order, so I found out that I wasn't the only one who felt the way I did. The atmosphere of the cafe was very nice and staffs were very nice which I loved. Just the cafe inside was so cold. I came to the cafe to feel warm but my body felt icy cold and couldn't enjoy the food and coffee fully. I also worry for stuffs if they won't catch a cold working in this cold room. I hope the environment will be improved both for customers and workers. Even though I wasn't fully satisfied for the first visit, I would love to come back and try their different drinks and bakeries because I want to support local business. I've been coming to Rescate for about a year now. Coffee is great. I love their seasonal options. Food is great. Their lane system is convenient. However, service could be better, specifically there is a man there and I'm not sure if he's a manager or owner, but he has been extremely rude on multiple occasions to not only me but I have witnessed it with other customers as well. The rest of the staff has been incredibly nice! This man questions customers relentlessly on picking up their orders at their designated lanes like they're stealing and when they prove they grabbed the right order, he walks away without apologizing. Recently a teenaged girl picked up an order with 3 drinks and one of them was made wrong, he continued to question the worker at the counter on whether or not it was made right. It was not offered to make it right, instead they had her leave without it getting fixed.
All the pastries good and the drinks and that you've even got some cold pressed juices. For a limited time starting in February 2023 they've got a white mocha with strawberry that is delicious.

So... I always say, when the actual coffee is good, then it truly is a good coffee shop... However, not only was the coffee good, but the friendliness of service to people.. Here's what my group got and what each person said about their drinks: Eggnog latte - wonderful Blended white mocha - wonderful (but it is cold out right now) Coffee - it was good...I drank it all ! Not much seating inside, but lots of seating outside, so as long as it's not raining, just dress warm for cold days... It was great 😉😊
Store was pretty clean and organized. Several cashiers/check-out lanes were available as well as a few self-service kiosks. For a Saturday afternoon, the store wasn’t super crowded. Bizarre to see a driverless floor cleaning machine moving around the store(see photos
Ok this is a new review and no need to read the last because i was cranky. They now have chocolate muffins every day and my husband even tried the other muffins and discovered he likes them better (i was mad in the last review that they never had chocolate muffins) we started coming here again when we gave up gluten because we like the coffee and it didn’t matter about the muffins anymore. We do come here when we are being lazy and don’t want to make our own. I have resorted to drinking drip coffee. I have stopped ordering mochas in cafe’s because they charge almost a dollar extra for oat milk. Making my coffee, depending on size, 6 to 8 dollars for a grande after getting oat milk and caramel. So we now make specialty drinks at home. This coffee is good though and I do really like the staff and owners. So,I came on here to give them the rating on the coffee and nothing else because they deserve as much. Minus one star for charging so much for oat milk.
Excellent cappuccino at this coffeehouse. It was very busy here so plan for a short wait but I promise, it's well worth it if you are an espresso afficiando
My go-to daily coffee place. Love this place! Great coffee, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. The real deal. So glad to dump Starbucks. Only thing is wish they turned on lovely gas fireplace in seating area on cold days.
Still no ceramic cup. Why not. It's bottomless with a La Marzocco Linea. Yet the pouring time is way too short and they transfer from a tin cup (unless you request not to). The dark roast comes out too strong. Taste reminds me of the Nescafé my mum used to serve us as kids. Am heading to Starbucks!
I came here for a cars and coffee event. (If you’re a car person every Sunday from 9:00am-11am). So I came inside here for a cup of coffee. The employees were very nice. The place has a big selection of goodies and coffee. They have inside seating and also outside. I went with a normal dark coffee. It smelled good once I prepared it I took a sip and was amazed! I’m not a picky person when it comes to coffee so a normal dark roast is fine but this dark roast was great. They have nice ice blended drinks as well. Also Vietnamese coffee too! They do roast on site! It is a little drive for me but it’s well worth it. I can’t wait for it to be Sunday again so I can get another amazing cup.
I loved this place the first time I came here. The second time and on, which has been around 4 times, it has always been a pain. I come to Elk Grove around once a month from SF and every time i come and pass by here to get a box of coffee for employees, but every time the stuff complains about me ordering a box. First time they toll me to call ahead so i called an hr ahead the next time, when i called they told me 15 minutes ahead was enough. Next time I still called an hr ahead, they told me that i have to call 2 hrs ahead, the next time I called 2 hours ahead and no one answered, i called again and no one answered, i called the third time 15 minutes before i got here and still no one answered. When i got here and ordered my box, they told me that i need to call ahead because they are too busy to prepare a box, i told them i called three times and no one answered so they said that i have to call one day ahead! I don’t mind calling ahead but everyone gives me different instructions about it. I think they shouldn’t sale it if they are going to give to their customers such a hard time in front of the rest of the customers when ordering the box. So embarrassing because i felt i was doing something wrong and i was being told in front of the rest of the customers.
I really want to support this place but their drinks are mediocre. I’d rather drink office coffee than the Luke warm oat milk latte I just purchased. The staff is always 18 yr olds and they need a seasoned barista to show them how to make a drink
Really quick and easy coffee pick up. I usually get the ice Vietnamese coffee, which is their version of it. It has a nice clean vibe and really nice staff.
Not the best place to go if you’re in a hurry. Needed a quick caffeine boost and found this place but drinks took some time to come out and weren’t that strong. Pastries were good. Nice patio seating.
