The Market Cafe

Our favorite breakfast stop; especially on a Sunday. Limited indoor seating, but really nice outdoor seating under cover when temperatures are warm enough. Unique, fresh food and decent prices.

Went in for lunch 1:45 on a Saturday. Asked to eat in. Told you have to order and pay before you sit down.?? Ok. No menus only some chalkboard hanging up near ceiling.??? Ok. Ordered soup, have to ask what kind, and a French dip sandwich. And a bottle of water. Ok $12.75..?? Still ok. Found a seat and waited. . after awhile she comes out and says they're not set up for lunch so no roast beef.. Now getting a little irritated so what do you have? I can't eat eggs so breakfast is out. No menus so have to come up with something.. Ok Turkey and cheese grilled??? Ok they can do that. Ok soup comes out. Chicken noodle only no noodles macaroni instead. Ok tasted good anyway. Waiting for sandwich.. .soup getting cold so ate that. Sandwich finally comes out. Ok nothing special. NO ONE SEEN AFTER THAT. Could hear them in kitchen but no one ever bothered to check if everything was good bad or indifferent. I got a goodbye when I left. Guess I can't bother going back to a place that can't be bothered to check on their customers. Such a shame cute little place.

Waited a long time for someone to come out of the back and offer to serve me at the counter. I had to go back to the front door and ring the bells that we're hanging on it again. I asked for a cup of dark roast it ran out after two pumps and that when they made more I guess they left the cold coffee in the cup before they added the fresh and so the result was lukewarm.

If I could have their soup & baked goods everyday I would! Try their chocolate chip cookies with your order. They’re really great people & give back to their community.

The Market Cafe in Topon, PA was an INCREDIBLE experience. I hosted a farm tour to Rodale Institute on Saturday, August 1st and they provided us with a fresher than fresh meal that all of the attendees enjoyed. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the friendliness of the gentleman, Alex, who went out of his way to create a dynamic lunch and accommodated every single need that I had. He even created dishes that aren't normally on their menu. Our spread included: kale salad, fresh gazpacho, tomato and cucumber salad, fresh fruit salad, Mediterranean wraps (he also provided some gluten-free bread) and strawberry infused water. Everything was delightful - even the pretty dishes they served the food in. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend The Market Cafe for any meal/event needs. We all felt right at home during our lunch - they were a perfect fit for our farm tour experience. I will certainly use them again for our next venture to Pennsylvania.

Stopped in yesterday for breakfast looking for anything but gas station coffee. Excellent coffee and breakfast! No watered down stuff here! It’s in an old train stop that’s fixed up but still kept original. Go here.

*Unreliable* beware- The market café was supposed to cater a wedding this JUNE of 2019. He has backed out of catering 2 months before the wedding as plans were arranged over a year ago. VERY unprofessional...

Breakfast was good and generous portions! Nice atmosphere! Limited seating! Guy behind register was cool! Can’t get enough of the train cars going by!

This is a frequent destination for cyclists. Great food! Their espresso milkshakes alone are worth the trip.

Good food at good prices. Service was excellent. When I get back into the area will definitely stop in again!
