The food is good and they're nice to dogs. However, the coffee; I do like my coffee without flavor additives like macadamia nut, vanilla and what-not, but since they use the same grinder without cleaning it out, all the coffee is flavored. When I ask why my coffee tastes like all of that artificial flavor they tell me that the flavor is added to the beans before they even buy them. I guess that means if you usually hate vanilla coffee you have to like it because the flavor was technically added at a different point in the process? None of the staff could even understand why it would matter to me, at all.

Stopped here for breakfast. Sandwich was so yummy. And a great cup of coffee. Must come here again.

If you haven't been here you need to go, breakfast sandwich changed my life. Baked goods are epic. Have a freshly made bagel. Best bagel I've had since leaving Brooklyn.

WE LOVE MARKET CAFE! I got married last weekend at a very unconventional venue. It was a rustic barn that didn't have running water... The staff at Market Cafe handled this situation with such ease. Alex, the owner, showed up the day before the wedding when we were setting up just so that I could ask him any lingering questions in person. He was absolutely wonderful the whole time and happy to answer any crazy questions I had while trying to put me at ease. I have a family member who has a lot of allergies, and Alex personally met her before dinner was served, assembled a special plate for her and hand delivered it to her seat so that she didn't have to be worried about any allergens in the food. I have a sister in law who is vegan, and they offered to make a specific plate just for her so that she could still feel included in the dinner. Not to mention, their food is to die for and their prices are super reasonable. My wedding was close to 150 people and it was HOT that day. The entire crew worked their butts off to keep everything fresh and restock water to keep us all hydrated. They even poured us a champagne toast and cut my cake at no extra cost. I very highly recommend the whole team, and would pick them to cater my wedding again if I had the opportunity.

Superb and friendly service. Very prompt. Restaurant is very clean and orderly. Bagels fresh, tomatoes, onions, cream cheese, and smoked salmon equally as fresh. Great vibe and environment. Folks are cool with people hanging out. Outside tables, too, under a porch roof for protection. DO STOP BY AND BE VERY PLEASED!!! Superior music playing, too!!!

We love this place!! A great spot to grab awesome coffee, homemade quiche, speciality sandwiches and of course the ambiance of sitting in or outside an old railroad station, what is not to like! Great place for stopping on a bike ride, grabbing a drink and having a conversation, or just plain having good food and conversation!

We absolutely adore this cafe, they are always very friendly and courteous to customers. My husband and I walk here often and sit outside with our dog when the weather permits it.
If you need a recommendation, try the bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon!

Market Cafe serves lots of good food, even if the service isn't always so speedy. You'll likely spend $7 to $10 for lunch here, unless you go with something like soup. Pretty much everything they make is tasty. I just need to drop a little warning about the service. It isn't unusual for it to take 10 to 15 minutes to get your food even though they are very ambitious folks. I guess you could say that good food takes time and the problem becomes compounded when they get busy over the lunch hour. Other than that, I do think the workers are generally courteous and friendly (unlike the complaints of a different reviewer). The building and location by the railroad are both quaint and unique but it's deafening when a train roars through, especially if you are sitting outside. Seating is a little limited, especially over the winter when it isn't convenient to sit outside. They have about five tables of varying sizes inside and about 8 or 9 tables outside. While it at first appears that parking is limited, there is actually plenty of parking since the gravel area behind the building is Market Cafe parking. The Market Cafe serves good coffee (from Reading Roasters I think). In spite of the slightly slow service, I highly recommend The Market Cafe. Their food is much healthier and much better tasting than the chain fast food restaurants.
